Serpentine Cougar Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I read all 6 Dune Books, but the first one was the only one worth reading, in my opinion. He got way too philosophical for my tastes by the end of the series. I also really liked Ender's Game - just awesome.
Darth Kalverys Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 The Ranger Apprentice books are pretty good But my favorites are.. Eragon and Eldest- Christopher Paolini Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse- Stephanie Mayer (soon to be Midnight Sun by Stephanie Mayer... I read the first chapter... MAGNIFICENT! But that book's not released yet.)
Corinthian Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Uh...none of those are Science Fiction, Rueben... The Thrawn Trilogy is easily the best Star Wars book I've ever read. As for non-Star Wars, Foundation and it's sequels are probably the best I've ever read. I enjoyed C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy, but I'd hesitate to call it Science Fiction, it's more like Christian Fantasy. Also...Isaac 'Hayes' Asimov? What?
Darth Kalverys Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Well... Fantasy/Science Fiction is all the same to me... I don't see much of a difference in them... and from a certain point of view they could be considered Sci Fi
Corinthian Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Right. Tell me when Eragon and Edward Cullen man the U.S.S. Enterprise and go on a trip to Andromeda. That's one book I definitely won't want to miss.
