Aash Li
Alert: major fangirling ahead! Best romantic fantasy. Ever. Based on the original story by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Charles Vess. Ever read the comic, or the novel? If you havent, do so. Then go watch the movie. Its one of those rare movies that is better than the novel its based on. Mainly because as I remember the ending of the comic, I hated it... it was sad. But of course, I could be wrong, I havent read it in years. Claire Danes plays a star that gets knocked out of the heavens by a dying King's last wish. Another boy who is the 7th son of a 7th son wants to bring the falling star to the girl he thinks hes in love with. So he sets out across the border between our world and Faerie to find the fallen star (Danes). Michelle Pfieffer plays an evil witch that wants to eat the stars heart so she can be young again. All the boys brothers, the two that didnt get killed in the ploy to get the throne, set off to find the star so they can claim the throne. And love is discovered along the way. I cried through nearly the whole movie, and still am a little. I give it 10 out of 10 stars... maybe a little biased since Im such a Neil Gaiman fangirl. :3 ...now if theyd only make Neverwhere into a movie... DrPhil2501
Heh, a review about a movie that was released about a year ago? Now thats something you don't see everyday Anyway, I saw it on DVD recently. It was alright, but to tell you the truth I didn't really find it that super great. I suppose I was expecting a little more out of it. I haven't read the comic yet, but I intend to as I wan't to compare the graphic novel with deh movie. Char Ell
I liked Stardust. It's not on my all-time favorite movies list but it was pretty funny seeing Robert De Niro's acting abilities as a closet cross-dresser. Two thumbs up for those scenes. You can't seriously tell me that you were crying when De Niro was in a dress, right Aash Li?

Bee Hoon
I read the book before the movie was ever in production:P... it was ok, but not fantastic compared to American Gods and Anansi Boys. Those two are waaaaaay better. The movie was enjoyable enough, just some light-hearted romance. Gaiman's best work is the Sandman series though. It's absolute genius!
