The Seeker
I just installed JA on my new computer, using the disks that I've used since I originally bought the game on the first day of it's release. yet, when the launcher starts and I click start single player game or whatever, it says to please insert disk 1. So, I checked, and sure enough, disk 1 is in. For some reason, it won't launch at all. And btw, yes, this is a valid copy. not a copy or a torrent DL any ideas. •-BLaCKouT-•
Are you using a different operating system this time round? I've heard that Vista likes giving people a hard time
The Seeker
no, still just good ol XP. And Vista can have my machine when it learns how to walk over and rape it personaly. I won't do that to my rig voluntarily though. I'm gonna try a reinstall, but I just don't want to, so I'm checking here for any ideas that don't take a whopping 15 minutes
•-BLaCKouT-•
Got to admit, I've never heard of that problem before Other than a JKA-Reinstall, I don't know what to suggest. [shrugs]
acdcfanbill
does windows recognize it as JKA CD1? I've had burners crap out on me, they would start to fail to recognize Movies on DVD that I would insert, yet blank discs would come up fine, and sometimes other factory pressed discs too. The Seeker
yeah, it recognizes the disk, and even brings up the launcher, but tells me to insert disk 1 when I click start game. guess I'll just reinstall and hope for the best
