LordJerec Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Hi there guys... Does someone know how to fix the problem with Win Vista? The question here is this: When I try to use modview to look at a mod for JKA, it just tells me that it gets a problem with the program, and that it tries to fix the problem somehow... and then it kind of asks me if I wanna send the problem to Microsoft.. And I'll always say no to this... Does anyone know how to fix this problem? If i'm on the wrong forum, feel free to move it where it belongs
Psyk0Sith Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Wild guess: in XP64 there's a compatibility mode, if you right click the file, tell it to run like a XP or win2k software...im not sure vista or 32 bit os have that option tho.
LordJerec Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Well thanx Psyk0sith... i don't know if it'll work myself... But it's worth a shot...
Yukiko Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Recently moved from XP to Vista 32 bits. For some programs and games, I haven't had too much hassle. For Modview, however, I haven't found anyone who may help launch this on Vista. I tried the wild guess solution, but with no luck. Does anyone have any tips other than get rid of Vista? Are there any options to skin testing, other than using modview?
Psyk0Sith Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 You need a viewer that can load up your .GLM file. Maybe "the dragon"? by Wudan, it's an animation tool for JA. Milkshape 3D could also be an alternative, it had .GLM support. Last resort you'd need 3D max 4,5,6 or (7?) with .glm plugin.
Inyri Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 3DS Max 7 has a functional GLM import plugin. You could also try XSI Mod Tools (you can import XSI files, such as those released by Raven -- this won't help you with custom models, though).
