KHMI6
I am trying to work on a mod that very simply alters teh appearance of the Republic and Sith Uniforms. I simply want to switch them, making the Republic Soldiers, officers and Jedi where Sith and Dark Jedi clothing and Sith Officer/soldiers/Dark Jedi where Republic and Jedi uniforms. I am told this is simple, but i just need step by step instructions. I have the save game editor as well as the KOTOR tool. Please help! jonathan7
http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/The_Old_Empire_vs_New_Republic_Order;81957 If your going to do it yourself, you'll need KotOR, generally a good rule of thumb is to have a look at another mod which is similar to yours and see what they have done; have an explore around. Then try and duplicate using KotOR tool.

Robespierre
Wow, wait a sec. That's an unbelievably rude and dismissive answer to give someone. Idf you don't want to help, just scroll right on past this thread: don't feel the need to correct the world just because you can and you feel that its your duty to do so. If someone wants to become interested in modding, then you help them. How do you think that other now great modders started off? Not by people telling them to get lost. The mod posted above does essentially what you want to do. But if you want to make it yourself, its fairly simple. Simply download the KotOR tool (and install KotOR) and find the different Sith/Jedi uniforms, extract them and swap the names. Then put the new uniforms in your override folder and (I think) it should work.

Now, after i find their files in the KOTOR tool, i edited their appearance from, lets say, Sith_Soldier01 to Repoff01 (for example). Now i save them, what would i save the name as? the same name it still has, or change it to something else? would this also work for KOTOR TSL? i apologize if i am a burden or something, just hoping i could ge tthis to work for me. Your not a burden mate, ignore my earlier post I was being narky and an ass. To change the different appearances you save the Sith soldier under the exact name of the republic equivalent soldier if you follow me. e.g. Save the sith soldier as republic_soldier01 and vice versa. Do you follow? This procedure would also work for TSL, though the sides are slightly different, and it always depends on exactly who you want to change. Hope that helps and I am sorry about earlier... welcome to the forums btw.

KHMI6
I tired it with teh Mandalorians on Dxun, what i did was found the three mandalorian files, and three sith files, extracted them, switched the names, and put them in the override. It didnt work. I have a feeling they are teh wrong mando files b/c they have teh same names as those in KOTOR 1 on the unknown planet. Anyone know where the mando files for the Dxun mandalorians are at?
