Visaira
And how would i go about doing that? Killing people in space? Or just doing missions from the piolit trainer?
DAWUSS
You do missions from the pilot trainer. Eventually you'll get certified for better ships, and you buy those (ship chassis) from a vendor. You go to the dealer in the starport to turn it into a deed and you use the deed to generate the ship.
Tommycat
After you get the deed in your inventory, then you click on it and select generate ship. You will also need 5 parts for it to be useful. an engine a reactor a shield a capacitor a weapon To fly it around you can have just the reactor and engine, but you won't be able to shoot without a weapon. Now might be a good time to ask what kind of ship you want to fly. If you want to fly an X wing, it would be a good idea to retire from the privateer path and join the rebel squadron. Or if you want the TIE fighter, you have to join the Imperial squadrons. Some ships can be flown by pilots of all three squadrons. Scyk fighters, Grievous starfighter, Naboo fighter, KSE Firespray(Boba's Ship), Y8 Mining Vessel, YT2400 are all ships that can be flown across all factions. I recommend you get the Scyk Hi-Mass Variant. That way you will be able to go up to pretty well any level and still kick tail.
3dbones
Like others said, you get missions from pilot trainers, as you do these missions you get pilot xp, you can view your pilot level by hitting "P" to open your professions window and then clicking on the pilot tab at the top. Just like normal profession levels you get new abilities when you reach one of the boxes around this semi circle. When you hit a box you can continue to gather xp towards the next level, but it will not show until you level up, so dont worry about running to a trainer as soon as you reach a new level. When you have hit a new box simply return to the npc that gave you your pilot mission and there will be an option to train. After that you can now go out and buy a ship chassis or a ship deed. You can find out what ships you are able to pilot by clicking on one of the boxes in the pilot profession window that i mentioned earlier. To find a vendor selling the ship you want go to a bazarr, at the top select the tab titled...i believe its "vendor locations", its the one farthest to the right. Then inside the box in the middle left portion of the window select the circle titled "entire galaxy". Now you can type the name of the ship in the search box to find all sales of chassis and deeds by other players in the entire game. When you've found one that you want to buy, right click it and select the waypoint option. Make sure you remember what world the vendor is located on, fly there and then travel to the waypoint. To find out further information on piloting visit this website http://swg.wikia.com/wiki/Pilot and select whichever faction you are piloting for. Edit: Oh and 1 more little tip that I like to do when im new to piloting, it doesnt really help out but i still like to do it. I hate the beginners ship, when you select the faction that you are going to fly for, go into your datapad "K", right click and delete the beginners ship, itll ask for confirmation, just hit yes. Now go to your factions beginning pilot trainer and say you lost your ship, they will give you one for free that fits in with that faction. Imps get a Basic TIE Fighter, Rebels get a beginning rebel ship (i dont know what it is yet, today im starting my rebels piloting), and im not sure about freelance either, but it might be the same ship as the regular beginners just with very slightly better stats.
