Shem
Title: Realistic Visual Effects Author: Shem Date Released: 5/21/08 http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Realistic_Visual_Effects;90382 Description: One thing I didn’t like about KOTOR was how they put in some visual effects that didn’t seem to fit in. Like how all of a sudden there is a yellow energy blade on your Master Power Attacks even when you have a sword for some reason. Possible how your hands will glow using the Master Critical Strike or Master Flurry attacks. Maybe it’s how my screen would go all blurry when running around using Force Speed. This mod eliminates things like that and many effects I didn’t think were necessary when playing KOTOR. Instructions: The TSL Patcher will be used to make these changes. Most people won’t need to use the TSL Patcher because of you won’t have a visualeffects.2da file in your override folder, but in case you do and you want the changes already in there, I used the Patcher to keep it compatible. redrob41
Getting rid of the blurry Force Speed... that alone makes this mod worth a download . I spend 8 hrs a day staring at my work monitor, then another 4 to 6 hrs modding at home. I don't need to mess up my eyes even more watching my character run faster. Fredi
Oh thank you Shem ... I really hate the glowing hands ... and the lightsaber when doing the attacks ...
LORD SPARTAN
Cool mod Shem, I was waiting for something like this. I always found the visual effects was too mangalike. If only I could find a way to make the force storm more like in movies.
Prime
I've done a lot of this in my own game, but this looks like the complete deal. ****ing awesome!
EnderWiggin
Great work Shem!! This puts it all into a nice little now-in-my-override package. _EW_
