Sneeper
Sorry for this newby question but does anyone know how i can edit the Revans Mask in this mod (http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Darth_Revans_Robes;64116) The mask has no properties at all it seems, i don't want to make it overpowered but some properties would be nice, for example + strenght or something, how can i do this? Thanks in advance!
Sithspecter
You'll need to download the KotOR Tool to edit items. We have several tutorials in the Tutorials Section over this, and also we have a YouTube channel that shows you how to edit items. Once you get the KotOR Tool, you can open the .uti, and edit the properties to your preference.
Sneeper
Sweet thanks mate! Is there any list or some sort where i can see all the properties listed? I'm talking about things such as: -Attribute bonus --- Dexterity --- Bonus --- +4 --- n/a (and so on) If i had that i would be able to edit properties of items as i see fit which would be really nice Thanks in advance. Sithspecter
Yes, once you open up the files, in you case, under file, (in the KotOR tool) click 'open GFF files,' then find your override folder, and click on the name of the .uti file of the mask. I'm not sure what the name is, I don't have the mod. There's a tab called properties, beside the general tab on the item editor, clicking on that should show you what you want. Double click on the blank row, and a menu will come up and you can begin adding properties. Hope that helps ya.
Sneeper
Ah i had to click the arrow in the empty blank space, i was hoping this wonderfull tool had a menu wich would allow you to select what you wanted. Many thanks to you and the person who created this excellent tool! Would you also happen to know or direct me to a good guide or tool (if needed) to create my own items, more particulary crystals, i have just finished the game and it seems it has a good Light side crystal but doesn't offer this for the Dark side. It would be nice if i could make one for the Dark side to. Oh and what does upgrade level do in the item editor? Thanks in advance.
Sithspecter
I think that Achilles has a very good tutorial for this in the tutorial section. It's a good idea to browse through there, there's a lot of very good stuff.
Sneeper
What about upgrade level, i can't find anywhere what it does.
Sithspecter
I'm really not sure that it does anything. I've never used it.
Sneeper
Neither will i then I do have another question though, i have edited the revanmask.uti but when i save it with Kotor Tool it's not a uti file anymore, just a file. What is the problem with that, i mean shoulnd it be a uti file aswell? I guess i now have to put the file in the override folder but i doubt it will work since it's not an uti file.. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. When saving it, just add the .uti extension on the end Otherwise, it won't work.
Sithspecter
The KotOR tool doesn't specify what type of file it is. After you save, you should save it as revanmask.uti. You have to manually add in the .uti part. You can still do that, I think. You just rename it and add the .uti part.
Sneeper
Sweet, works as a charm! Thanks to the both of you. This community seems very nice EDIT: Offtopic but could someone tell me of essential/good mods that i could download? Even small mods are very welcome, because i know minor stuff can be great to have to.

Sithspecter
Brotherhood of The Shadow, that is, if you haven't downloaded it already.
Sneeper
I have already looked at those 2 sites before i asked here (downloaded the Brotherhood mod to because it seemed very nice) I appreciate it anyway, i guess i'll just keep browsing on filefront, there are so many mods but not every one is good

Sneeper
Ah that one is new to me. Thanks Btw on my Revans Robe i have added: -strenght -dexterity -improved force res -regen -regen force points -def bonus -req force sens -req jedi defense -align limit dark side -dam immunity When i view my Robe ingame it only shows a few of those qualities, what is the problem? And no it's not overpowered! every properity is very minimal
Darth Payne
Did you already have the robe in yourinventory? If so, you might have to remaove it from your inventory before adding it again. The KSE is the easiest way to do this.
Sneeper
I have started a new game so that isn't the problem.
HodgePodge
Make sure that you have the requirements for them set to "None-Default" Otherwise, some stats will only appear with upgrades
Sithspecter
Also, there's a few properties that are only for TSL. This may be your problem too.
Sneeper
No i think i'm editing the wrong file the revanmask.uti works as it should so i figured the robe would be revanrobe.uti but it doesn't seem so.. The damn problem is i dunno what file to edit now.. Can someone help please EDIT: Aha i've found it, the name of the robe uti was in the readme, very lucky indeed Sorry for the trouble and thanks Btw does anyone know any mods that make the game more difficult? I mean adding an extra difficulty even more difficult then difficult difficulty.
ForeverNight
Well, you could you Talchia's Hardcore mod... I know that there's something about it on here... I think... But, it might've been lost when PCGM went down, otherwise feel free to PM me with your e-mail address and I'll just pass it along. And, all it does is change the abilities of the NPC's outside your party according to level using scripts... So, it doesn't add a difficulty, but if you want it off you just remove the file from your override folder. So, your call.
Sneeper
And, all it does is change the abilities of the NPC's outside your party according to level using scripts... What do you mean exactly? It gives them more attributes or feats or force powers? Please explain
ForeverNight
As far as I remember, I'm not looking at the .nss's right now, it 'gets' the level of the PC and then edits the stats of the NPC's outside your party according to that level. So, lets say you're level 12, then the AI's... atributes would be bumped up a little bit, as well, as (I believe) and attack bonus/damage bonus outside of the attribute bump. But, I don't think it gives the AI extra force powers of feats... but it has been a while...
