randydg
This is my first time messing around with models as items and placing them in random spots across the galaxy. So Here is my first screenshots. Come back later to see more screenshots. I will just edit this post with the new screenshots. Note: All Models Are not solid thats what the layout and walk mesh etc.. is for. So if you want these solid you will have to somehow add the walk layout/mesh whatever its called. These Pics are all located on Telos Restoration Zone: Ebon Hawk sitting on nar shaddaa landing pad Council Room on Coruscant Telos Docking bay w/ebon hawk Destroyed Ebon hawk (from 002ebo-where at the begining the droid can go on top of the ebon) Republic Ship (the one that docks with peragus)

Sithspecter
^Nope. They're textures. It seems that randydg has discovered the power of the layout files.
TheExile
But they actually fly! How come???
Sithspecter
Well, looking back, they may be models, I'm not sure, but in K1, they are animated textures that move. I'm guessing that they're textures.
TheExile
I thought they are models because I also see them flying on Dantooine and I observed they are 3D
Sithspecter
Check out the texture LKA_bird02 in K1. Anyway, pretty far off topic. We need to get back to model fun.
Quanon
Their flat planes, moving around in circles. Silver ones asked me to edit some Dantooine( actually the walkmeshes), it never worked out all, but the birdys are as flat as possible. Their just animated textures that move about, its bit of both I guess The flying Manta is 3D

HdVaderII
So, randy, do you want to tell the less knowing ones how to do this?
randydg
Its with models. basicly using a utp (placeable file on the resref change it to model1 then look for the model you want say 003eboa.mdl & mdx you would extract those to override folder and call them model1.mdl & mdx There is a little more to it but thats the basics. EDIT: @Randy: I tried the method you told me about, but for some reason, It's not working, you said that there might be more to it?
