[K1] New Module Texture Problems

Ok I was working on one of my new modules for my mod and I was using the UVW Mapping Modifier in Gmax. And my textures and everything were fine. Then I went into KAurora to export my Model and Walkmesh. I previewed my model in KAurora and everything looked fine the textures and everything lined up at stuff. But when I warped to my map in game the only objects that showed up with the texure on it are the ones I didn't use the UVW Mapping modifier on. The other ones just look like i applied a single material color to.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

Did you leave the UVW-map modifier on top ("stacked") or did you make 'collapse' into Editable Mesh before you exported out.

Its best to bake in your UVWs, by simply using the 'rightclick' convert to Editable Mesh way :p

If they turn out to be bad looking in the game, like in stretched, you might do this.

1) UVW map your texture to fit snuggly

2) Do the baking/converting

3) In the Editable Mesh and Poly Select on, use Detach ( set the option to Element ON). And Detach certain polys on how they where mapped.

4) Don't forget to ResetXform !

5) Re-link the meshes to the Aurorabase, so De-Link them first and apply your changes !

6) Export that stuff out, use Kaurora to compile !

Pray it works in game :p

Okay well that seems to be working:)... I didn't know about the baking thing. But Is that the only approach because Kaurora dose not know how to work with the UVW Mapping Modifier? Or it just dosen't handle it correctly at this point?

By the way is there anything special i have to do to my materials in Gmax to get the building refections to work. Or is that all handled by the .TXI or whatever. I'm not much good with textures and stuff. Modeling is my stronger point :(
