There's no need to get offensive because somebody disagrees with you.

We've explained why it's a bad idea, and I'm not going to waste any more energy doing so.

nothing better to do with your life then you should be banned[/Quote]

RC-1183, you may want to rethink the manner in which you post a disagreement in the future. Consider this a warning, I understand you're a little new to this so feel free to consider our little community like one large family.

Now, ultimately all family stick together because of a special bond they all share. However, that's not to say disagreement and conflict doesn't happen, but it's up to us to remember to be civil because we all have to see each other at some point.

You're free to disagree and share your opinion with anyone at any point, however it would be more advisable (and enjoyable for everyone as a whole) to show a bit of courtesy and respect.

If you have any questions on how to handle a situation, feel free to send a Private Message to a (Super)Moderator, or Admin. If you wish to know which Forum Staff members are online you can take a look here.

My opinion is if, if, they make a Republic Commando movie they would need to film it live action, with real sets. Limit the CGI to absolutely necessary stuff. Since there are many attackers that are generally humanoid, they could do guys and girls in suits, with a little CGI to touch it up.

The grittier the look, the better for a story like this. It just does so much service to the effect, just like the game with the gritty overall sensation it gives.

I've only a few more things to say, and then that's it.

To further elaborate on the costs, and the quite likely financial failure of such a venture, consider this:

In it's year of release, Republic Commando sold just about 60,000 copies. Given that total sales of Xbox games in 2005 was 5.92 million, that means Republic Commando's sales account for little more than around 2% of the total sales for that year.

Even with the sales for the PC release taken into account, and sales for the years from then and now, it's still a marginal amount.

The sales of the books are even less than the sales of the games - Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings it isn't.

And besides, George Lucas set up a Video Game company to make Star Wars stories that would succeed on the big screen, and that people could actually play a part in.

And as for the books, books don't translate onto the big screen very well. They often require significant changes to be successful on the big screen - Lord of Rings is a prime example of that.
