GodsillY
Unless I missed somethign when I did my search of the forums this hasn't been posted yet. Gene Upshaw died recently, he was the NFLPA Executive Director and a player for the Oakland Raiders, and he was the driving force in keeping the NFL from having any form of Lockout like MLB NHL AND the NBA have had in the past. Thank you Gene Upshaw RIP! Just another death in a year full of upsetting and tragic deaths.

GodsillY
Yeah it's a very upsetting year too bad since there was so much to look forward to this year. The Olympics, the Election ect. but I will remember all the amazing people who died this year and it will make everything seem sad.

Guess you were not around during the strike of 1987. Rest in Peace Gene Upshaw a fellow Texan and the only player in NFL history to have played in three different Super Bowls in three different decades. While I do not agree with everything he did for the NFLPA, he did seem to work tirelessly to promote the best interest of the members of that organization. I respect that even though it was detrimental at times to the fans of the NFL.

I was just saying what ESPN said, I know a lot about Upshaw, but not everything my bad.
