Shem
Why don't you put it in your lightsaber so you can find out? BTW, all the colors have unstable options along with compressed options.
Lightsaberboy
i've never picked up an unstable crystal, only regular or compressed ones. what do the unstable ones look like?

SW01
The unstable blade has a flame-like texture on it. The compressed has a sort of wave effect pulsing along it.
NcNikke
The black saber doesn't have compressed or unstable. Every other one has both.
Rabish Bini
Bah, normal ones look way better, a normal gold one is the best one.

Darth Eclipse
How can you not notice the difference in the unstable crystals?! Other than black, blue unstable is my favorite.
Rabish Bini
Black's not a colour, it's a shade I personally dislike the black saber, with a passion, it looks so horrible any un-Star Wars, it's just, the only way to describe it is, BLAH!! Darth Eclipse
Do you think I care that black is a shade and not a color???
Xbx_Inthusiast
I think someone just wants to start a fight. -points at Eclipse- But yeah, Only 360/PS3 has visual differences between em... Unfortunately, the three color crystals on the PS2/Wii/PSP just have one different color- the unstable makes it a shade brighter.

Hayden Kered
For the Wii version, how can you tell which crystal is which? Highlighting them does not show any description.

Look at the colour of the crystal, maybe? It doesn't show the description on the 360 either, I don't think, only for the power crystals.
