Hawwi Joshe
Has anyone had this issue occur while trying to install a mod with the TSLPatcher... I've seen the same issue mentioned in other forums I searched through, but never found anyone who had an answer. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) I recently installed KotOR (Had been playing KotOR II before) and the latest patch, after that the TSL Patcher started working giving me the messages above. However, it worked fine when using it for KotOR II before I installed the original KotOR. Anyone know how to fix this issue?
DarthStoney
Just make sure .exe file and the tslpatchdata folder are contained within the same folder.
stoffe
Has anyone had this issue occur while trying to install a mod with the TSLPatcher... I've seen the same issue mentioned in other forums I searched through, but never found anyone who had an answer. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) If the mod you're trying to install came in a ZIP archive, make sure you preserve the folder structure when extracting it. WinZip had (has?) the annoying tendency of puttiing everything in the same folder if you drag and drop the content of an archive to the explorer. (There should be a folder called tslpatchdata which contains the two files it complains about, along with everything else that it should install.) Hawwi Joshe
I'm trying to install the Brotherhood of Shadow and Recruitable Kay mods. But I can't even reinstall the TSLPatcher without getting that message as it seems its trying to run its own program on itself. I guess I'm going to have to completely delete it and try to reinstall it, hopefully that will work.
Stream
But I can't even reinstall the TSLPatcher without getting that message How exactly do you mean reinstall TSL Patcher? The Patcher isn't an installable program, it's a program that you use to install KoTOR/TSL mods. Like Stoney said, make sure that the .exe and tslpatchdata are in the same folder. --Stream
DarthParametric
Make sure you aren't using the Windows archive as directory feature. You need to actually extract it. If you don't have something like WinZip or WinRAR then go grab 7-Zip. It's free, although it's a little clunky to use.
Hawwi Joshe
Guys, I have placed the TSLPatcher.exe file in the tslpatchdata as well as the Mod I'm trying to install in the folder as directed, still getting the same response. And yes, I always make sure to extract the content using 7zip in the appropriate place. Like I said, before I installed KotOR, it worked fine for KotOR II as it was. I never had an issue with it, all of a sudden I install KotOR and download the most up to date patch and boom this issue started occurring. Anyway, here's a screen shot if you can find anything that could be missing or that I've done wrong... Btw, thanks for all the advice and help thus far, it's much appreciated. zbyl2
TSLPatcher should NOT be in tslpatchdata, but in folder with tslpatchdata. Example: Understand now?
