M@RS Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 I didn't know where else to put it... But, what do you think are the best maps... Please say what map it is and give a link to download... Thanks...
Bokken Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Battle Arena Soon, there'll be a newer, better version out. Rep's working on it now.
M@RS Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 o_O That is one awesome looking map... Downloading now... Thanks...
M@RS Posted November 28, 2008 Author Posted November 28, 2008 I would get that, except that last time, it made my game really jerky so I got rid of it... I might try it again, maybe... We'll see...
jawathehutt Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Make sure you restart after installing it, and its kinda wonky for a few games, but after a few days it should fix its self out
M@RS Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 Alright... So I should expect it to be jerky, but not to the point that I can't play it... Right?
Maveritchell Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 @"jerky" Not sure what you mean by jerky, but assuming you get things installed right it should be good from the get-go. There are a couple issues that are probably unavoidable, so it's best to look out for them. Issues and their workarounds: -Demanding graphics: the Pack has maps with higher graphical requirements than the stock SWBF2. Make sure if you have crashing issues to lower your graphical settings (especially lighting and bloom). -Mod maps crashing: the Pack adds a lot of new content, and if you already had a lot of mods installed you'll push SWBF2 over its limit for addon content. Just move some of your addon map folders out of the addon folder to solve this (they can be moved back and forth at your leisure). -1.3 patch not installing correctly (part that adds new eras/modes; the .bat file that runs at the end of the installer): some computers might have an issue with this version of the 1.3 (a minority, but I've heard of issues). To fix this install the newest version of the 1.3 patch (found at SWBFFiles). -Conversion Pack maps crashing: if you've already tried the above and still have a crashing issue with the Pack it may be unavoidable at present. One mode on one map has a known crashing issue and some of the new maps may crash at random. This is again a memory issue related to the amount of content added. You'll want to lower graphical settings and restart SWBF2, and the map should work. No map has a perpetual crashing issue (except for CW Endar Spire, and only if you use the hero Lowbacca).
