Battle of the 2 ultimate Bands

If I had to say who was the best band out of those two, it would be Sabbath hands down.

 

If not out of just those two, than it would be Metallica.

 

Joing the best guitarist discussion, I'd have to say Eddie Van Halen or Richie Sambora. (yes I'm a big Bon Jovi fan) They each have their own unique styles of playing where neither has been matched.

Yes, one of the best, not the best like many people make him out to be.

True, perhaps he's been a bit exaggerated as a MEGA-Legend. He's definately one of the best though:D

I'd probably also say EVH, but Clapton and Buckethead are up there too...

while where on Guitarists, my all time favorite is hands down Yngwie Malmsteen, but, that is studio album, and between 1984-1989. some guitarists have a way of ruining your vision of them when live, especially Yngwie, he has a habit of running off into some convoluted arpeggio marathon, where as his studio chops are some of the best guitar licks ever laid down.

 

I was always a fan of EVH but the Band's style of music as a whole was bubblegum apart from a few of the earlier b-sides, but either way Eddie was a pioneer.

 

The Iron Maiden Boys will always sit in the Pantheon IMO, even though it was the NWOBH that they were part of, I think they have done as much for Rock and Metal as anyone.
