Rtas Vadum
Well, this started as me trying to get a similar effect to Kristy's Athena head, and due to the look of the results, im planing on adding this in as a new head selection. Current look: Only problem im having with it, would be that after doing the 2da edits to the appearance, head, and portrait files, it shows up in the male class selection. Hopefully i can resolve this. Im thinking of adding this head also as an NPC, with a quest along with it(which i'd add a alternate head should you be using the head for your pc when doing the quest). But as to that, the only thing that at this point i could do, would be the details for the quest, mainly the writing that would need to be done for it. Should anyone like to help with this part, i'd appreciate it.
DarthParametric
I assume you listed it as P_FEM_x_xx_xx and not P_MAL_x_xx_xx in appearance.2da?
redrob41
I think that the gender is determined by a column in the portraits.2da file with either a 1 or a 0. I can't confirm it right now, since I'm not on my home computer.
DarthParametric
Ah good catch redrob41. There is indeed a sex column in portraits.2da. Rtas Vadum
Okay, i have that issue solved. Now to the other load of them i have to sort out. I started adding in the model files and texture for the default clothing, but as it is, i think i have to do more with the models then just changing the file name, don't i? Well, just so i know, here are the issues needed to fix(or things needed to be done: Head tex. reskin: Done. However it seems that it isn't giving the eyes and lips the shine. I have the envmap column set to "CM_Baremetal", don't know why it isn't working. EDIT: Actually, it does give the shine to all the ds transitions, but the normal head it doesn't. Underwear tex. :Solider done, Scout and Scoundrel still needed. Default clothing tex: Solider nearly finished, still need scout, Scoundrel. 2da edits: nearly finished, aside from the real work in the model and tex edits. Darth Payne
Wow, that looks like a very nice DS head.
DarthParametric
i think i have to do more with the models then just changing the file name, don't i?I would think you would need to rename the models then hex edit the MDL and change the tex name. I haven't played around with PCs much though, so I'm not sure if changes in appearance.2da is enough. However it seems that it isn't giving the eyes and lips the shine. I have the envmap column set to "CM_Baremetal", don't know why it isn't working. EDIT: Actually, it does give the shine to all the ds transitions, but the normal head it doesn't.Make sure your base head tex has an alpha channel. If you are using PS I have found it has a nasty habit of not saving out alpha channels when changing between PSDs and TGAs.
Rtas Vadum
It seems that the models didn't need to be changed aside from the file name, (at least the clothing models)as they do appear in game. Only problem is they appear like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v635/KomaB1ack/StarWars/default_clothingshot.png Default clothing http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v635/KomaB1ack/StarWars/default_underwearshot.png Underwear The textures are in the override, but it seems the game isn't using them. Which may mean i might have to change the models. Anyone know a good program to do this?
Eefluxx
I've run into the shiney metal outfit as well in the past. Usually it is solved by not adding in the number reference in the 2da coloum. (IE PMBA01 and just putting PMBA in the coulumn.) You may need to hex edit the mdl to point to your texture tho. Its been awhile, thats just one of the things I remember having problems with and with solving it that way Eefluxx
Rtas Vadum
Well, I've gotten over the "metal outfit" problem, now all that is left is the portraits. Aside from the persistent problem of the default/lightside head not having the shine, despite having the right envmap, and having a alpha channel. Heres some previews of the underwear textures(Normal and dark): Darkside: Light/Normal:
Rtas Vadum
Well, i think im going to release this soon, and possibly release a V2 if i can fix the only issue. But, here is some select dialouge lines, which will probably only be used if anyone is willing to help with adding the character in game, or possibly a new recruit. I: PC:" I don't mean to offend you, but your eyes. I've seen the red/yellow color that most Sith seem to have, but yours, I've never seen. " Renae:"It must have something to do with my species. Im not exactly human, despite my bipedal form, or anything else associated with them." II: PC:"What do you do here?" Renae:"Im just visiting the Academy. I'm one of the Generals in the Sith fleet. And as you no doubt have noticed, a user of the force. A Sith, if you will. I also served in the Mandalorian War under Revan. I, like the Exile, disobeyed the Council and chose to go to war." III: PC:"How did you become a General in the fleet?" Renae:"That is a marvel of a thing. I actually asked my way in. Well, so to speak. I was a jedi, like you were. One of the jedi who chose to point the saber at the Mandalorians, waiting for them to charge, only for every one i met to face their deaths. I was there when Revan entered the academy on Dantooine, along with Malak. Interestingly, i was one of the select few that seemed to agree with Revan. The only other that seemed to share my level of enthusiasm is a twi'lek, not sure of her name. " IV PC:"Can you tell me about the Mandalorian Wars?" Renae:"Ah, the war that shook the very foundations of the Republic and Jedi. It was five years ago when it started. The war went poorly at that time. The Mandalorians just kept taking systems, and killing millions. It was sometime later that Revan chose to make a call of war. Revan requested that any Jedi who wished to do so, fight alongside (PC gender). I was a Jedi Knight on Dantooine at the time, and had just arrived back from Coruscant. The moment Revan arrived at the Academy, i could sense what the jedi were about to be asked. After the speech, i was one of the first few to side with Revan. I left the Enclave that day, and never returned. "
Darth Payne
Umm, i believe it is Coruscant, not Coresant. I'm still very interested in this mod, looking very nice.
