R2-X2
Another Question about modding: I want to make some new items, blasters, which I want the NPCs to hold like rifles. I guess there's something with MDL and MDX, but I dont understand anything with those files, gmax and MDLops. Would anyone do this once for every blaster type? If not, would you explain me how to do it? What do you think about it? R2-X2 PS: It should be for K1.
DarthParametric
When you say "hold like rifles", do you mean as in stock against the shoulder? This kind of thing - http://visual.merriam-webster.com/images/sports-games/precision-accuracy-sports/rifle-shooting/shooting-positions.jpg If so the only way to do that would be with new animations, so the answer is almost certainly no. R2-X2
No, what I meant is the opposite of what you meant. I think about a one-handed blaster used as two handed blaster(riffle)s. To see what I mean, just stop the game while wielding a rifle, and go to your inventory, and use a blaster then, without continueing the game. But I don't want that for all blasters, I would have new items that are holded like this. (One for every type of blaster) [Edit: I got an idea: use the model of a blaster, and save it as a blaster riffle model. Would it work?]
RedHawke
I don't think you have to edit the models for this I think if you look in baseitems.2da you can do this in there, I think there is a column in there that controls if the weapon is one or two handed (I can't look myself ATM). R2-X2
I'll try it. Edit: I modified the baseitems.2da, and it worked! Thanks RH.
