:confused:Hello there. I've just made a new mod ( Nar Shadda 1.2.1 ) and I have a bit of problem. U see, the mod is based on a new planet, and u can't have anew planet without dialogs. So I added lots of 'em and here's the prob:

The dialogs work, you can see the NPCs talking, but u can't hear them ! I used DLGEditor for the dlgs. Any ideas of what went wrong ?,,

Did you edit dialog.tlk? I believe thats what is used for voices, although I could be wrong. You can edit it with TalkEd, and I'll get you a DL link in a min...

EDIT: Heres where you can download it and some other tools. You may also need to make/edit some soundset files, although I have no idea as I've never tried making voiced dialog

DOUBLEEDIT!!!: Found a possibly helpful tutorial. You could probably ignore the above, except for the link.

:indif:What I did , was :

I created lots of NPCs and gave them voices. The thing is I didn't want to record anything , so , at the Creature Editor of KOTOR TOOL, I chose either twilekmale sound, or duros sound e.t.c , so that Kotor would adjust them. I used DLGEditor to make the dlgs and the tutorial I used didn't mention anything about sound. It was a tut based on a new module and a new NPC. The NPC was a Duros. plz help.:indif:

EDIT : I downloaded the TalkEd editor but I thought u didn't have to use it since there are the sounds for twileks, duros, selkaths e.t.c

The easiest way to have Alien VO's is to just edit this box in the editor

DIALOG.jpg

Just look in the Alienvoice.2da(I think this is it or something close)just put the number in the box that matches the race you are using. You can also change the generic medium comment to match whatever type of emotion you want. Note: just make sure there is a value in the emotion of the .2da for that type or you will get only silence.
