Ferris was understanding the situation, to a low degree, as he had not encountered any aliens, and was definately not attuned to their need for symbiotes.

He grabbed hold of the alien, as O'Neille did the same on the other side.

'Sir...the truck may not be here soon enough, is there any other way to recover this...symbiote?"

He then looked to the alien, and in his thick accent asked bluntly, "What in the bloody hell are you?"

'Sir...the truck may not be here soon enough, is there any other way to recover this...symbiote?"

"The only way would be to take it out of another Jaffa...The Goa'uld symbiotes act as our immune system, without them, we are vulnerable to all types of sicknesses. I have been without mine for nearly nine hours."

"What in the bloody hell are you?"

Toran shot the man a sharp glance. He could barely understand the man's accent, but he did catch the meaning.

"As I said...I am a Jaffa. And you should be saying. What in the bloody Sokar are you?

Toran leaned in close to the woman with the blonde hair and then shot the man with the accent another strange look.

"What manner of creature is he? I can barely understand what comes out of his mouth when he speaks."

"Ferris is our fifth SG-1 team member, and he deserves your respect. Now, is there any sort of procedure you need for the symbiote to be implanted?" said Carter.

O'Neille looked out for the truck that would take them back the base. This Jaffa could provide them with useful information, and he appeared to be trustworthy.

If the Jaffa couldn't make it, then they would have to take quicker action. Jack called back one of the officers.

"Bring us one of the alive Jaffa! We need the symbiote now!" The man looked strangely at O'Neille, but apparently went to comply.

"Ferris is our fifth SG-1 team member, and he deserves your respect."

"I mean no disrespect...I just find it difficult to understand him when he speaks."

"Now, is there any sort of procedure you need for the symbiote to be implanted?"

"No...I simply need the symbiote and a private area Where I can implant myself with it. I feel that your people would find the sight...disturbing."

The officers arrived with one of the dead Jaffa, a staff blast in the middle of his chest. There was no way he could be alive. But the symbiote might still be living.

Turning away from the body, O'Neille said, "The snakehead's all yours."

Ferris chuckled, slightly spited by this..Jaffa.

"What manner of creature are you...heheh, bloody idiot. I'm an Englishman." He mutter to himself.

He looked at the body of the Jaffa.

Ferris lifted the corpse frome the officers.

"It seems 'snake-head' fixes this guy perfectly..." He said, inspecting the body a bit closer.

"What manner of creature are you...heheh, bloody idiot. I'm an Englishman."

"That...I did manage to catch. Tell me: Do all englishman speak as you do?"

Toran leaned down next to the body and began an inspection of the dead jaffa. "It looks as if the Symbiote is in one piece. That is a good sign."

Toran doubled over in pain as a shapr pain arched through his body. "It appears I have less time to act then I thought. I apologize for this in advance."

Toran thrust his fist into the Jaffa's stomach and grabbed the writhering shape and grunted as it came free.

"You may wish to avert your eyes. This will most likely be unplesant to your eyes."

Toran pulled out the symbiote and held it down to his stomach and grimanced as it slithered into his stomach.

"I should begin to heal shortly. In the meantime, can someone tell me which planet I have landed on? And is there going to be any attempt to salvage my cargo ship?"

Ferris looked at the Jaffa, "You don't miss much, do you?"

He shook his head, in both slight disdain and admiration, a strange combination.

"You may wish to avert your eyes. This will most likely be unplesant to your eyes."

He had been walking forward and was a few meters ahead, but this surprised him.

Ferris turned.

"What?"

He turned right in time to see the Jaffa stick the symbiote into it's abdomen. Ferris brought a hand to his mouth to avoid gagging in sheer surprise. Luckily, he didn't lose his lunch, and he quickly turned back.

Oy. Was his only thought.

O'Neille, as he was walking past Ferris, slapped him on the back whiling smiling sarcastically, noticing his response to the Jaffa.

"Get a taste of your first Goa'uld, did ya?"

Turning back around, some military officers came up behind the Jaffa.

"It's just a precaution," said Sam.

Never trust a Ghoa'uld. Or their Jaffa. Except maybe Teal'c.

Getting into the military truck, Jack waited for the others. His radio crackled to life.

"Colonel O'Neille, get your team down here as soon as possible," said a voice.

"Understood," Jack replied.

Something was up.

Ferris smiled sheepishly as O'Neille slapped him on the back.

"Get a taste of your first Goa'uld, did ya?"

"Yeah...." Was Ferris' only answer.

It wasn't a very pleasant experience, something he hoped he wouldn't run into too often.

He shook his head and tightened the strap of his P-90.

A sudden voice got everyone's attention.

"Colonel O'Neille, get your team down here as soon as possible."

Ferris nodded his head and chuckled, "Well..never a dull moment.."

He fell into line behind the group, acting as a flanker escort, in case of any problems.

The truck was moving towards the base at a reasonably quick speed.

"You're about to see our Stargate," replied O'Neille.

Entering the tunnel, Jack got out of the vehicle, and waited for the others.

"We need to hurry to the gateroom."

Jack nearly stopped in his tracks to think about Ska'ara, his friend who was now a Goa'uld System Lord. He tried to think about how to reply.

"Klor-El is...."

He was interrupted by the com.

"Unscheduled offworld activation."

O'Neille started running towards the elevator.

Ferris was finding this whole situation interesting, action was apparently never far away with the SG-1 squad.

He knew that they were headed for more Jaffa, and as his knowledge was limited on them, he knew asking this one may help.

"So...you are a Jaffa, correct? Where, might I ask, do you come from. Or at least where you came recently from?"

Toran ran along with the team toward the innerds of the base.

"So...you are a Jaffa, correct? Where, might I ask, do you come from. Or at least where you came recently from?"

"There is no harm in asking. I come from the planet Chu'lak, it is the Jaffa homeworld from where we all come from. As for where I came from recently...I was aboard Klor-El's flagship when I decided I simply wanted to leave. I do intend to go back however...a friend of mine needs rescuing on that ship and I do not intend to leave her behind."

Jack glanced at Toran like he was from outer space. Of course, he was. But going back to the mothership? Was he insane?

"Yeah well, we'll talk about that later," said Jack in a somewhat terse manner. Getting inside the elevator, he punched the button to the gateroom floor and waited.

Ferris nodded, "So, you won't leave her behind....heh heh, we won't get in your way then..."

He smiled, chuckling, he guessed Aliens had their infatuations as well. Had any of the members of his old squad been present, they'd have a field day with this one.

He had a few other questions, though.

"This Klor-El, what's he like? What opposition does he present?"

((Kre'tak translates roughly to pervert.))

"So, you won't leave her behind....heh heh, we won't get in your way then..."

Toran slowly turned around and gave Ferris a very strange look.

"What are you suggesting...Human? She is a slave aboard that ship, and sooner or later, she will be implanted with a Goa'uld when Klor-El tires of her. I will get her back before that happens. No one deserves that kind of punishement...not even a Kre'tak like you."

Toran pushed past him and ran alongside O'Neil.

"Please, children, let's not fight," said Jack. The elevator doors closed as they all piled into the uncomfortably small moving machine that would carry them into the bowels of the complex.

"We can talk about the mothership later," said Sam.

"Please, children, let's not fight,"

Toran looked down at O'Neil with an amused glance.

"I fail to see how you can consider me a child. I believe that I am much older then you are."

"We can talk about the mothership later."

"Whatever information I can provide, I will."

Toran gave Ferris another disgusted look.

"How can you allow someone like that in your unit?"

O'Neille gave a disgusted look at Carter, who shrugged.

"Ferris was assigned to me," grunted Jack. Truth be told, he didn't want anyone else in his unit either, but Teal'c was still offworld. So, for the moment, he would live with it.
