Canderis
I have a door I re-skinned and now I want to get it into the game as a new door. How would I do that in a step by step form?

Quanon
Hmm, I would believe its not differant from reskinning a robe or armour model. You make the skin, Edit the model ( hex edit etc) to use the new skin. Make an UTD/ UTC file thingy. No doubt there be a 2DA edit of somesort Not a real expert on such things, you know. But that would be the route I'dd follow.

TriggerGod
Its the .2da and dwk parts that I am stuck on. Unless your modeling a new door, you don't have to do the 2da or dwk. At least, I don't think you do.
glovemaster
To create a new door you will need to make changes to the genericdoors.2da file, I'd imagine it is as simple as adding another row. As for the DWK, since you have reskinned a door you can just copy the one from the original door. When you create your door template file (UTD) then you just need to set the appearance to the new line in your 2da file. If you've set KotOR Tool to scan the override for 2da files then your new door should appear in the drop down menu. Hope that helps
Exile007
FYI, there are three door walkmeshes for each door. You'll need to extract and re-name all three unless you want your PC to run through the door.
