Zombie War (Zombies Walk Part 2)

Recommended Posts

(My character thinks you are in siberia, so he went there.)

Sam had a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, which he liked very much compared to a hummer. The fact that a virus could survive in this cold however, Sam had no liking of that.

"What was that weird dream about anyway?" Sam thought aloud."I mean, seriously, I know that if I ever did anything so stupid to Attrianna, she'd find a way to kill me, be it in this life, or from some contingency plan involving brain controlled clones." He chuckled, His brain went into overdrive of stupid stuff when horror awaited around the corner.

Fump!

"What the hell?" Sam swore.

Fump-Fump-Fu-Fump!

Blood was staining the window. Something was most definitely becoming road kill along the roadside. Sam slammed on the brakes and pulled out his JAE Gen-2 M1A Rifle, checking through the small snow storm for any hostiles. He found only a grinning face of a Brute, but somehow different. It jumped through the air, slamming its foot into one of the wheels, which popped instantaneously. Sam gasped and started unloading the rounds into its head, praying for a lucky shot. God must've been feeling gracious that day, because the Brute's head blew open in a cloud of gore and bone. Checking the tires, Sam made a quick change, not wanting to spend anymore time than he had to out in the cold.

Pulling out his cellphone once he was in the Jeep, he called Vlad.

Ring-Ring...

Ring-Ring...

Ring-Ring.......

. . . . . .

Jaden sat downstairs, watching the ghouls trying to destroy the door. Jadens family had unloaded a few rounds and piled all the heavy stuff they could find up against the door.

Ring Ring...

Ring Ring...

Jaden picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Jaden, this is General Hackert speaking. Your entire regiment is being called up, and you haven't shown up for duty. Care to explain?"

Jaden unconsciously straightened up, "Sir, Me and my family are stuck in our house, the undead have deided that-"

"Say no more son, we'll be sending in a chopper to clear the area. When that's done, you and your family will be escorted to a bunker to briefing. Understood?"

"Sir yes sir!" Jaden said.

Ring, ring

Ring, ring

Ring, ring.

Smith almost grinned at the timing of it all. "Who wants to take a bet on if it's Larson or not?" He asked the room in general, but nobody answered, however some -Vlad in particular- made particualarly rude handgestures. "No need to get snippy!" Smith exclaimed. "I just wanted the chance to fleece -cough- I mean earn some extra money." He looked innocently at the disbelieving crowd.

"Alright, you win." He said. "Vlad, you'd better answer that."

((Everybody dead or what?))

((We're not dead, just mostly dead...there's a difference from mostly dead and all dead...name that quote!:D))

Vlad was, in a rude way, trying to discourage Smith from taking his money in a bet.

Only Larson would call like this, and Vlad wasn't going to waste his money for a lost cause.

He grabbed the phone and flipped it open.

"Larson. This better be good."

Xero

He made it to the top of the cliff, freezing and shaking he placed the radio phone on the ground and began to set up the antenna.

He adjusted the dials and then picked up the reciever speaker and said, "Hello this is Xero Cryptmaw of Samuel and Tanya Cryptmaw does anyone read? Over."

There was a nothing but static. He sat in the snow freezing and adjusting the dials in frustration. He didn't know what to do. Not long after he had thrown down the reciever speaker he heard a voice calling out from the static.

He grabbed the speaker from the cold snow and adjusted the dials once again to get a clearer channel.

"Mr. Cryptmaw, are you there? Where are you come in, come in!" said the voice more clearly.

"I'm here, who is this?" asked Xero.

"I'm the head scientist at section 12 of your father's 50 sections, well 49 since the Chicago incident. One in every state. Is there something you need Sir?" asked the scientist.

"I need a supply drop at the coordinates i'm sending you now." said Xero.

"You're in Russia?" asked the scientist.

"This is correct." Xero said.

"What kind of supply drop did you need?" asked the scientist.

"I need Project: Black Wolf." said Xero.

There was a slight pause and the scientist said, "Say again, i dont think i heard you correctly."

"Project: Black Wolf." Xero repeated.

"Oh...ok i'm giving the order now to get it set up and we will be there ASAP." said the scientist.

"Thank you, and i hope it has a built-in heater." said Xero.

"Among other things yes, the suit protects the user from the elements." replied the scientist.

"Ok, radio me when you're close and i'll fire a flair into the air so you can pin-point my position. Xero out."

"Well, I'm still alive, if it's good for your bet on me." Sam said, and he heard moans and groans in the background. Clearly, they wanted him to blubber like a little girl.

"What can you tell me about the mutated Brutes. They seem to be a bit... Jumpy. I'd like some more information." He finished, Noticing something out in the snow.

Stepping out of the Jeep, Sam pulled his P90 up and fired a five-round burst, hitting a man sized target in the gut with all the shots. The thing leaped at him, slamming the cellphone out of his hand and pinning him to the jeep with its claws. A Prowler! Sam thought, using his need to name things as a scapegoat for fear. The prowler pulled its claws out and swiped at Sam again.

Sam fired again, the bullets finding something weird in its chest. The creature fell back, this time for good. Sam noticed a Black viscous subject seeping out of the prowler. When it touched the ground, the highway pavement started to melt.

Hmmm, acid for blood, or a nice little acid pouch in its chest. Great assurance of enemy death if it get its chest blown out.

Sam picked up his cellphone.

"Vlad, we've got other worries..." He said as he stepped into the Jeep and warmed up a little.

Atrianna watched as more and more of the undead seemed to swarm out of nowhere. They seemed to be everywhere and they kept heading for the stage.

"Pilot, take us back down as close as you can to the survivors. If you see anything move that isn't human and it's heading for the plane, then kill it, shoot it, do something to make sure it's not alive anymore."

The other four women nodded and readied their weapons as the plane touched the ground with a thud.

Atrianna quickly got outside and began her search for Aiden.

((In my last post I said that I sent you a message. Sorry, I didn't really get what was going on. Oh, and I guess my character wouldn't even know it was you yet. :p))

Aiden kept on running from the concert hall with Eve, looking back constantly to make sure that the zombies weren't gaining on them. All the time he was looking for the plane. Finally, as they turned around a bend, there it was, soldiers around it shooting down zombies.

And it front of it was Atrianna, whom he had not seen in quite a long time. He approached her quickly.

"It's been quite some time, hasn't it?" Giving what was going on, Aiden was trying to be optimistic, something he hated. His concert was ruined, and on top of that New York was being attacked by zombies.

Eve squeezed his hand.

"This is Eve, my girlfriend." She smiled. Aiden couldn't tell, but she was just as upset about the whole thing as he was. At least help had arrived, however.

Aiden got a serious look on his face. "What the heck is going on here?"

Atrianna nodded at him. "It has been. Nice to see you again Aiden."

"This is Eve, my girlfriend."

She nodded at Eve. "It's a pleasure to meet you. So how di-Damn it!"

A brute had been sneaking up behind her before she turned her shotgun around and blasted it's head off.

"Sorry about that. These things are persistant I'll give them that."

"What the heck is going on here?"

She took a quick look around. The undead were begining to form lines. It looked like they were planning to cut off her escape. "I honestly have no clue but we should really get moving. This isn't a safe place for either of you."

Atrianna pointed at the plane where two of her solders were fighting off a another brute.

"Move Move Move!"

Aiden grabbed Eve's hand and picked up the pace as he ran towards the plane. New thoughts of all kinds began to creep into his head. If this was really a new zombie invasion, then he would have to change his way of thinking....Not to mention, he would have to improve his skills in combat. Hopefully he still had the same kind of skill he used to have with a gun, but it had been a very long time since he had ever used a weapon.

Turning towards a soldier that was not occupied fighting, he asked, "Where could I find a weapon?" Fortunately, Aiden still had his old military ID in his wallet. He didn't know why he kept it there, but this time it looked like it might come in handy. Producing the ID from his pocket, he showed it to the soldier.

"Aiden Valko, former military, I was at the Nuking of Chicago."

Majoka nodded through narrowed eyes at him.

"Atrianna's orders were that any survivors were to be sent to the back of the plane until we can take off. Sorry sir. The guns aren't meant for you."

Atrianna shouted while shooting and running at the same time at the small horde which was following her.

"Start the Plane! Prepare for takeoff!"

The pilot nodded and the plane began to shudder as it warmed up in preperation for take-off.

Atrianna and the other three solders jumped up and managed to get inside the plane just as it began to run down a clear, zombie free stretch of land.

Once it was safetly in the air she turned to Aiden.

"So...now that we're out of danger for the time being...what brought you to New York?"

Aiden smiled. He had been asked this question many times before, and it was one that he only somewhat understood the answer to.

"Well, after the whole zombie war, I guess I just wanted to be around people. I didn't feel comfortable going back to Richmond, and I couldn't think of anywhere else to go....Besides, for the music industry, there's plenty of people in New York."

A thought crossed his mind.

"Which is, I suppose, why it was attacked by zombies....What do you know about this whole thing?"

Xero:

The sound of the helicopter grew louder and Xero loaded a flair gun and fired it off into the sky letting the chopper know where he was. A large case fell from the chopper and stuck straight up in the snow, the doors blew open to reviel the suit and two .500 S&W Magnum Revolvers. He staggered through the snow toward the case and removed nessesary clothing to put on the suit. The features of the suit were uncanny. It was black with some minor touches of grey on the key parts of it. The fingers had something that resembled claws on the finger tips and the foot part of it resembled his own boots.

"That's top-of-the-line tech at it's best Mr. Cryptmaw." said the scientist through the helicopter speaker.

"Don't call me that anymore..." said Xero while the back of the suit electronically clampped together to make an artificial spine.

"What...?" said the scientist just barely hearing what Xero was saying.

"Call me Xero Wolf." he said while activating the helmet, which was retractable (similar to iron man) into the jaw line of the suit, and it gave his voice an electronic growl.

he put his trench coat on over the suit to conciel most of it then put the revolver holsters on either leg and holstered the revolvers. He pocketed the extra ammo.

The eyeslits of the helmet glowed red and he darted off into the woods back towards town tearing up dirt and snow.

"Vlad, we've got other worries..."

The Russia slumped back into one of the chairs, and he heard a loud crack, and he cringed for a moment.

Have to remember not to do that....

"What gives us more worries? Explain it to me. What could've possibly gotten worse in the past 3 hours?"

"What could've gotten worse, well... There's now a few new types of zombie. The jumpier Brute and a, uhhh... Prowler, It's got claws and an acid sack in its chest. Creepy, I've just had an encounter with one. BUt still, you have any idea on easier killing than with guns, is there a serum or something?" Sam said, pleaded.

Putting the Jeep in gear with one hand, he checked his Info.

Damn, Attrianna isn't here! She's in America! Oh well, I'll find the scientist's my self, YEAH RIGHT!

"Vlad, a favor, Could you find out which Scientists made this new strain? I'm on a vengeance spree..." Sam asked again.

Jaden sat in the Chinook helicopter, Zombie Enforcer Infantry Rifle, or ZEIR (Seer), in his lap. The ZEIR was a relatively new rifle given to the Army, and used a more powerful fround, the 7.62x54R Round compared to the M4's 5.56 NATO. It was Semi-auto, based heavily off of Max Brooks SIR (Standard Infantry Rifle) from World War Z. Seeing as how we survived the first war, we decided it was necessary to provide an efficient Zombie killing rifle, compared to the assault rifles that blow lead until you're covered in casings. The SIR was a great rifle, but we decided it could be inproved on, so we (All the we's refer to America) made the ZEIR.

"Alright, We'll be in New York pretty soon, just hold on." Said the pilot.

A large plane screeched overhead, barely missing them.

Aiden moved up to the cockpit and recognized the Serial Number for the Plane.

"That's Attrianna's plane. Wherever she's heading, it's bound to be better. Pilot, can you follow the plane?" Jaden said.

"At the speed she's going? Not a chance, but I can follow her signal." The pilot responded.

"Do it." Jaden said.

"How should I know, Larson? Chances are, they're already dead....at least most of the time that's the case....I'll try my best to figure this out, I still have samples from the first virus...I'll be looking around."

He shook his head and looked at Smith.

"It's bad."

"Okay, well, thanks anyways. I'll be here, killing the undead. " Sam said. He hung up and drove for a while longer, until he made it to a village.

Noone was here, excluding an old Babushka. Stepping out, he asked for directions in his Russian. She did nothing but snarl at him, then lunged at him, smashing her fist into Sam's face.

Sam returned the favor with a knife. Then the village came out, they were all the same. He wouldn't be surprised if this was the picture all over Russia.

Xero Wolf:

He runs to the edge of the woods and comes across a village where he sees the inhabitants gathering in the middle.

"I wonder if this suit has a diagnostic setting to help me see whats going on at a distance." said Xero to himself.

"Voice activation accepted: Running diagnostic. Sir, it appears that all but one of the current inhabitants are infected." said a female voice inside the suit.

"Whoa, can you understand me? What are you?" said Xero talking back to the suit.

"I am a Artificial Inetelligence Recon Armor, but you may AIRA." said the suit.

"You know my father never had much imagination when it came to naming." said Xero to the suit.

"what do you mean, sir?" asked AIRA.

"He named me Xero, hows that for imagination, replace the "Z" in Zero and plance an "X" in its place. Real imaginative." he replied.

"Sir, the infected are moving in on the survivor!" alarmed AIRA, "His odds of survival are calculated to be up to 60% judging from his stature, skill at hand-to-hand combat but eventually he will tire out."

"What if I helped?" asked Xero.

"Recalculating: The odds of survival are boosted, but after doing a thorough scan of the area there seems to have been an increase of infected, some of which are very large in size and have dropped your odds to now 40%." said AIRA.

"Then you underestimate him and myself. I'm going over to help." said Xero as he begins to run toward the village.

"I just want you to know that you may not survive if you do this." said AIRA.

"Duely noted." said Xero.

He runs as fast as he can and draws his sword. Nearing the village, he jumps up higher than any normal human-being, his trench coat flutters loudly in midair, then he lands on an infected and surfs the body through the croud while slicing up the others around him. Then, when he starts to lose momentum, he jumps back into the air and land next to the survivor; cracking the ground as be makes his landing.

Finally...a survivor. "Xero Wolf: at your service, stranger." he said to the survivor.

Sam looked at the man in the armor.

"Introductions will wait 'til we've cleared this place out." Sam said, then continuing to shoot at the zombies until he'd exhausted the ammo for his P90. He pulled out his Desert Eagle's and fired dual wielding until the horde disappeared.

"Xero, My name is Sam Larson. Major, USMC. At your service." Sam said.

Xero curb stomps a downed zombie and pulls out his two S&w .500 Magnum revolvers and duels his way further into the action. A loud roar grabs his attention.

A large creature comes bursting out of the woods roaring loudly.

"What is that thing, Sam?!" yells Xero aiming his revolver at it.

"Brute. Dangerous, deadly, stupid as a nail" Sam said to Xero. Sam lifted up his Desert Eagle and shot a few rounds, finding the snow made his sight bad.

"Shoot the head, no different than a normal zombie." Sam informed him. While Xero was busy with the Brute, Sam went to his jeep to find a rifle.
