Q
When you first turn on your computer, there should be an option entitled "System Configuration" or something to that effect presented on the BIOS POST screen. You usually choose the option by hitting a function key (such as F2). You will then be taken to the BIOS menu which will allow you to change the boot sequence. Every BIOS is different, but it should be rather intuitive and self-explanatory. Feel free to post any more questions if you're still having trouble. Astrotoy7
Yep, this usually falls in the 'advanced' options in the BIOS. You often get the options of 'Select First boot device' - and also 'Hard Disk priority' If you ahve more than one hard drive, please remember to select the one where your OS is located. This has to be done regardless of what you have as your 'First boot' I usually leave my first boot as my DVD drive as I have been recently installing alot of OS instances with windows 7 testing. That can lead to problems sometimes if you leave non OS bootable discs in the drive where windows will get confused and actually wont startup. So that first boot device selection is really down to personal preference, whereas the Hard drive priority *must* be where your target OS is located. good luck mtfbwya
