Rakai
After searching for a few hours, I've decided to break down and ask for help. I'm trying to use the dialogue sound files from TSL, which isn't very easy when they are in hundreds of seemingly randomly organized files. I've discovered DLGEditor which works for finding the VO_ResRef locations, but I have a problem. I want the dialogue files for the final confrontation with Kreia at Malachor, but I haven't found them in kreia.dlg, or any other dlg files I've tried. I've searched everywhere in Kotor Tool and can't find more dlg files except for the other party members. What am I missing?
Mono_Giganto
Just to be clear, have you checked in the module folders? I recall a lot of module-specific dialogs being kept within their respective folders.
Canderis
Under erfs- modules- 907mal- one of those.

VarsityPuppet
Ohh, that was solved rather quickly. Yeah, pretty much all the dialogs fire from the modules folder under the *areaname*_dlg.erf, unless they are party member dialogs. Just for future reference
Darth333
And for a quick and effortless search in the future, just use FindRefs (the most underestimated and underrated tool IMHO). It can find anything you want within seconds, including dialog strings - if you know what an npc says, just type it, even partially (complete or incomplete doesn't matter) - and FindRefs will tell you where it is and allow you to extract the file. For the lazy ones (such as me) there is no need to look anywhere else and/or try to remember in what folder was the thing
Achilles
(the most underestimated and underrated tool IMHO) QFE. The influence walkthrough wouldn't have been possible without this tool. I use it constantly.

I found countless useful scripts and utcs that way as well. I was unable to figure out how to extract them though, so I usually go by modules. Mono_Giganto
It seems I'm not familiar enough with FindRefs; sounds like it would have solved dozens of problems over the past few years for me.
