The Five Handaidens Q/Telos sparing tweak

perfect, that makes this so much easier as they'd have undi-skins already and I don't have to do any tinkering there.

Well, you might want to do a bit of tinkering so that they don't have those braids that Handmaiden has, since those are apparently supposed to be unique to her. Just thought I'd mention.

actually, the handmaiden sisters are supposed to have different heads (so the game files suggest)

The actual head is the short haired blonde from k1.. just echanified.

Other than that though, yes, you could just do it that way.

I would suggest mixing it up a bit: maybe for the higher combat forms, the echani sisters actually use melee weapons?

Could you please point me to where you found this?

Yep. Many of the heads for k2 are heads from k1 with modification.

Look in heads.2da, row 191. You'll see the head model: N_HandSis

Yeah, I know. I just thought I'd specify that it's not particularly a new head.

Why so? They let you use them. Is the point for them to show off that unarmed combat is awesome?

Actually, you know what I would do? I would make it so that if you beat the Echani sisters, you can actually gain a couple of "Unarmed Specialist" feats.

To me, that'd make it a bit more worth fighting them, other than just for the experience.

It's not like many people fight unarmed anyways in TSL. most will use sabers.

Right. One head. The Handmaiden sisters are identical. Only Briana is supposed to have a different appearance.

Yeah, I know. I just thought I'd specify that it's not particularly a new head.

And I'm simply pointing out that not many of them are.

The point is that they are martial artists.

Different stroke for different folks, but unarmed combat is already overpowered. Giving extra feats that early would only unbalance that even more.

Depends on how you play, I guess.

Yep. Works out perfectly doesn't it?

EDIT: Ah just got it. The way I worded it, it made it sound like they were all supposed to have different heads. I didn't mean it that way. The 5 identical sisters were supposed to have the same head, and yes, Brianna the one different one. I've been trying to formulate a mod that remedies this but well... I can't model :(

Good point.

Yes... unless you rewrote the unarmed feat granting values. Probably a bit too much for this mod maybe.

Idk, it's DC's mod. He should do as he pleases ;)

Try stoffe's mod.

I don't know what this means.

Feats are hardcoded so you can't change what they do. You can change when you get them, but already broken enough as it is when you multi-class.

Indeed. But then again, you were the one that opened this tangent :)

-chuckles- "As i please?" I hadn't even considers half the stuff you guys suggested. I just wanted more scantly clad women. :p

Modeling/skinning a new head is at the moment beyond my abilities.

The Maidens are warriors, not just martial artists. having them use melee would allow them to show that more.

thinking echani training should come from Bri, not the sisters. Maybe with an Anton shows a female exile a few moves as a gender conditional. I agree how ever there needs to be more of a reward then just XP. Not sure just what yet though.

Which one? I've never heard of said mod.

I meant to change which levels you receive the unarmed specialist feats at. That sort of rebalance would be nice... but then again, better for another mod.

HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF-

OH wait, it would seem that you are correct XD

Sure. Don't think that addresses any of the point I made re: game balance though.

Not quite what I what I was looking for, but thanks for the help anyways

Um.. yes? Idk

Okay, we should probably return to actually contributing to this mod idea.

There's one issue: The handmaiden clothing model is a full model (includes the head and body as one model). The appearance.2da is rigged to automatically change the Handmaiden's appearance lines when you unequip all armors.

So really, I don't think there'd be any utc editing involved.

Hell, it might just be some scripting that you need.

I recommend downloading it and taking a look at the files before deciding whether or not it does what you want it too. Per my comment above (and assuming you read stoffe's write-up) it's not just the outfit (I don't even use the outfit).

EDIT:

I don't recall him asking for contributions. I recall him asking a question.

...which I believe I answered in the 2nd post.

You could attach a script that removes their clothing via the same node that makes them hostile. However per Mono's post, they're all going to look like Briana.

I don't see an issue with with it using what ever model Bri has for the sisters when it strips her. When I have access to my laptop I'll have to take a look.

Echani sword, Eachani armor, or an unlimited shield sound good as prizes depending on either the class or the player's choice?

Echani vibroblade is going to be extremely overpowered that early in the game, but do whatever you think makes sense.

Fair enough. i was just trying to assist.

Good luck with your mod, DC
