I'd prefer a barbecue myself, but fire and bunnies is fire and bunnies. I'll agree with that one lady saying they should look at other alternatives for preventing the mauling of their vegetation by rabbits. But if they're already culling the rabbits, it's not really anything to get upset about, considering they burn culled bodies. They (the American part) care more about whether or not we have a chicken sandwich in America, than what goes on in Canada. Like Iams' "nutrition" experiment on mice a few years ago... At any rate: well fine. If they (animal righs activists) are SO concerned about the purging of rabbits turning into a business, why don't THEY start raising awareness and funds and do stuff? Shed light on the issue for the public, maybe get animal control authorities to help--I'm sure they are glad to inform and educate to *prevent rampant breeding*. I mean if this is government controlled and mandated, what is the worry it will turn into a business? Do they do things differently in Stockholm Sweeden? Is it actually RUN like a business? Just to consider... In the mean time, however, if purging rabbits is a necessity, then it must be done. As far as corpses, unless 1) you just want to bury them, 2) or turn the corpses into compost for immediate processing...or 3) try to salvage as much edible meat out of them for the homeless (MMMM kill'em N grill'em) I really don't see much else that could be done, since the purging has already begun.
