Malak410
Yes, that really does not make any sense, but im also in a german Board activ an they said that they uninstalled ZoneAlarm and everything worked fine. jediaddict
Malak410, did the people on this German forum say if they could reinstall ZoneAlarm after installing the game and getting it to work, or did they have to install another firewall? Malak410
Hi, the one who got this working uninstalled TFU, then Avira and at least ZoneAlarm. After these steps he deleted the things in the temp-file and reinstalled TFU. => it worked without any problems. But when he installed ZoneAlarm and Avira again, there had been the problem with the savebug again.

As I suspected, it's not really a fix, because in 2009 (soon to be 2010), when a company knows WHAT is causing a problem, they should be able to fix it, not make people uninstall perfectly good programs in order to get their own to work... Hopefully they'll release another patch that actually addresses this issue in the future for those who are experiencing the described problem. Malak410
Hi, In the german-board we found another "better" solution: 1. cut the network connection (pull out the network cable). 2. uninstall TFU 3. uninstall ZoneAlarm 4. restart your Computer 5. deactivate Avira anti-vir 6. delete everything in the "temp-file" 7. reinstall TFU 8. install patch 1.1 9. play the game and save 10. exit and tuck the networkcable in 11. install the latest ZoneAlarm version 12. restart your pc, activate Avira and have fun ;-)
Psyk0Sith
Just curious, because perhaps Purifier is right, do some people have this game running and saving on Win XP Prof? I'm on XP 64bit Pro and TFU works/saves without any problems, my firewall is comodo 64bit and i use avast anti virus. I've seen software conflicting with norton applications before, but kind of odd it would prevent saving games.

DennisN
Finally got some time to try it. And it worked like a charm! Deinstall Zonealarm, install SWTFU, install Zonealarm. Thanks everyone for thinking with us!
