vanir
Whenever I go to a cutscene the character closest to the "camera" has periodic spasms. This only started recently, I've done two playthroughs on this installation but have recently put in TSLRCM (with no other conflicts, runs smoothly except for this issue). Which files/scripts control this element of cutscenes? Surely I can troubleshoot it, I'm happy to redo an ncs/2da file or whatever I need if someone can point the way. Has anyone come across this before? What fix did they use? Where should I look, appearance.2da, elsewhere?
Q
This is almost definitely due to TSLRCM and may or may not be fixed in one of the patches.
vanir
Yeah I noticed the absent equipment animation (remove equipment during mundane animations) has suddenly gone buggy too. Works only sometimes. I suspect this issue lay there. I'll try switching the TSLRCM version of the animation file for the original mod version. Q
The "spasms" (good word to describe them) are caused by the implementation of an entirely new animation created by one of the members of the now-defunct Team-Gizka. I thought that patch 1.4d fixed the problems it caused, but if you're using the "hide weapons in animations" mod, then I'd say that it's conflicting in spite of the fact that both mods use the TSLPatcher which should merge the two "animations.2da" files. I believe that the Brotherhood of Shadow mods caused a similar problem with mods that used "appearance.2da" in spite of their use of the patcher. My solution would be to use the unaltered "animations.2da" from TSLRCM and put up with having to watch NPCs type on consoles with blasters in their hands and impaling themselves with their own vibroswords while gesturing during conversations until someone figures out a way to get the two mods to play nice with one another.
