I second DeviantART. Whenever I'm looking for inspiration I just browse through there.

As a warning, though: 90% of DeviantART is trash. But thankfully it's not hard to find the 10% that's using.

I third DA. Plus if you sign up you have extended viewing privileges, but in order to have max privileges you need one of their premium accounts (whatever the "best" is).

I have a regular acct. but never use it. Nothing posted, though that might change w/ gmod and some silly stuff one can do with it.

Gmax has tutorials and forums and people who can help (I think) for 3-d modeling in general, though the majority of it is probably tailored specifically for their (free) program. Couldn't hurt to check it out, though.

It is things like that that make Mr Wally's assertion that 90% of DeviantART is trash true. :p

The AI (Art Institute) brand of colleges? They seem to be very much on the up-and-up for 3-d art, especially for illustration and video game creation... I'm sure you could find an enterprising graphical artist there.

Sorry DA didn't work out. Good luck.

Well, DeviantArt was a complete waste of time to ask. Seems like it's filled with immature trolls who can draw rather than mature artists. Damn, what is the internet coming to.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Back to deviantart, the sample is the rest of their portfolio, say what you will pay when you get an offer have a look at their page and see if you like their other stuff, I'm not entirely surprised you only got trolls responding to that (DA is full of them, but they can be avoided).
