RpTheHotrod Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Someone suggested a website awhile back to find amateur artists to help with some concept art or 3d graphics. What was it?
jon_hill987 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I don't know what was suggested but Deviantart.com seems a good place to me.
MrWally Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I second DeviantART. Whenever I'm looking for inspiration I just browse through there. As a warning, though: 90% of DeviantART is trash. But thankfully it's not hard to find the 10% that's using.
Darth Avlectus Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I third DA. Plus if you sign up you have extended viewing privileges, but in order to have max privileges you need one of their premium accounts (whatever the "best" is). I have a regular acct. but never use it. Nothing posted, though that might change w/ gmod and some silly stuff one can do with it. Gmax has tutorials and forums and people who can help (I think) for 3-d modeling in general, though the majority of it is probably tailored specifically for their (free) program. Couldn't hurt to check it out, though.

RpTheHotrod Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 Well, DeviantArt was a complete waste of time to ask. Seems like it's filled with immature trolls who can draw rather than mature artists. Damn, what is the internet coming to. http://forum.deviantart.com/community/art/1438977/ Anyone else have any ideas?
Darth Avlectus Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 The AI (Art Institute) brand of colleges? They seem to be very much on the up-and-up for 3-d art, especially for illustration and video game creation... I'm sure you could find an enterprising graphical artist there. Sorry DA didn't work out. Good luck.

Back to deviantart, the sample is the rest of their portfolio, say what you will pay when you get an offer have a look at their page and see if you like their other stuff, I'm not entirely surprised you only got trolls responding to that (DA is full of them, but they can be avoided).
