I liked the movie, the story and visual effects were all great! But I can see why people would think the end is depressing.

Because it was one of the biggest bull**** deus ex machinas they'd ever seen? Because they realized that even with that massive deus ex machina, humanity would still win in the real world, by bombing the Na'Vi from orbit? Because the Na'Vi were so pathetic and useless that they needed a human to give them any leadership ability at all?

The movie depressed me, not because I couldn't be part of the universe, but because it seems like an indication that the graphics vs. gameplay argument in games is coming to movies in the form of graphics vs. story, and story is losing.

Wow people are getting depressed/suicidal over this? It makes me wonder if these are the same types of people who come unglued and go postal for dropping a hot dog in the dirt or letting their ice cream fall off the cone.
