utc and skinnig help

I was creating a new set of armour on the base of a_light_04 [mandalorian combat suit]

I named it a_light_x and loaded the xml of alien mandalorian 01, so it could use the mandalorian neo crusader armour,

I extracted to blue mandalorian neo crusader texture and reskinned it green, I also extracted an icon ot use for my armour.

But, when i put the files in my override folder, load up the game and try cheating to get my armour, it isn't there.

What am I doing wrong?

[i've already named all the files a_light_x]

Well, did you save it as .utc extension or did you just save it as a_light_x. Either way is wrong. What you need to do is go back and recreate the file and save it as a_light_x.uti (with the extension mind you, because otherwise it'll end up as just a "file" and it won't do anything). Because that .utc extension is for creating new characters and the .uti extension is for making new items. (:

there is only 1 file, but it doesn't have a .utc/uti extension

edit: I renamed the file a_light_x.uti, still didn't work

Be sure that' date=' in the uti file, you have the box next to "Template ResRef" named a_light_x. And the box next to "Tag" named a_light_x. It's the only thing I can think of that will cause this problem. :)[/quote']

In both I have a_light_x

good my problem be someting like .2da files?
