Zerro
Ok hopefully the title makes sense; So I had KotOR installed on Windows7 64bit but it was causing some conflict so I decided to uninstall it and reinstall following the guide located here http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=194324 I accidently missed a step and decided to go back and uninstall/reinstall again. Now my problem is; when I try running setup.exe, it keeps asking me if I want to uninstall KotOR and no matter how many times I click 'Ok' or 'Cancel' it won't goto the install wizard. For some reason the computer still thinks KotOR is still installed even though the directory is gone. Also when I click on the setup.exe properties, it now has the compatability thing greyed out. any help and solutions would be greatly appreciated. Q
OK, download and install CCleaner. Go to C:\Program Files (x86) and delete the LucasArts folder if KotOR is the only LucasArts game that you have installed, or the SWKotOR folder inside the LucasArts folder if it isn't. Empty the recycle bin, run CCleaner's registry cleaner (backup the registry first every time you run it) and reboot, then run CCleaner's registry cleaner again and reboot, and see if the game will install then. Christos K
Uh... Evil Q beat me to it. Anyways, CCleaner is really useful when games are saying they are already installed or they can't be uninstalled or something. I use it almost every day to make sure my computer is running its best.
