Changing from Vista

Ok guys looking for your opinions.

 

Im sick of vista now hogging all my memory. I have two options of either digging out my old XP disc and reinstalling or splashing out on updating to win 7.

 

i would like to know which you guys think is the better option in a purly gaming machine.

 

Will my xp handle the newer games or is win 7 sparse enough on memory usage to be worth it?

memory is pretty cheap these days, just buy some more RAM

While it's not nearly as cheap as it was a year and a half ago, I have to agree that memory is still cheap enough to just buy more of it. From a gaming standpoint, XP is teetering on the verge of obsolete as it has DX9 and cannot be upgraded to DX11 like Vista can.
