DarthJacen
AUTHOR: DarthJacen CONTACT: DarthJacen (KotOR Files) DarthJacen (Lucasforums) NAME: Movie-Style Retextures Version 8 with Flickering Blades. FILENAME: Movie_Style_Retextures_v8 FILE SIZE: 399.77Kb DATE RELEASED: 06/30/11 Credits: Mono_Giganto for giving me permission to use his flickering idea even though all of my work is original. It was his idea to make them flicker, and I acknowledged this and asked and received his permission at LucasForums. Version 3: Reduced Glows to stock size, and added folders for the different files. Version 4: Made the Flickering a two frame flicker rather than a four frame to resemble the old turning rods used for the Original film with were triangular and rotated giving us the flicker we love today. Version 5: Added the rest of the colors. Version 6: Perfected the colors so they look right ingame, and the whole blade flickers, rather than just the core. I got this idea from the JKA lightsabers. Version 7: This is the final version of this mod, unless someone else has a request. Version 8: What do I know about final versions? Please, keep the requests coming. DESCRIPTION: This modification is for the original Knights of the Old Republic, but I have included in a separate folder the two extra colors used in TSL for installation at will. I cannot run it, anymore and therefore cannot provide screenshots for that modification. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Open the archive and extract the files inside to your Override folder. Do not use the dark green or silver textures K1. Although they will not break the game should you add them, the colors do not exist in the stock lightsabers available making them useless. COMMENTS: This modification is best used with Oldflashes lightsaber movie hilts plus Anakin’s ROTS hilt. BUGS: None PERMISSIONS: If you want to use this in a future mod, please contact me for permission before hosting it. Thank you. Dark_Ansem
I can already say from a superficial analysis that textures look better. well see ingame. EDIT: as much as I like them, IMHO they need smoother edge transition and countour, but that's just me should I post an example?

DarthJacen
what about the critiscim I said? doesn't count because I stink? Your comments are fine! I can already say from a superficial analysis that textures look better. well see ingame. EDIT: as much as I like them, IMHO they need smoother edge transition and countour, but that's just me should I post an example? You need to make sure your game is anti-aliasing at least a 4x or higher and anisotropic filtering to at least 8x or higher. This will smooth out any edges. I did bother to design the textures in the same manner I would rotoscope them into a film. So, the textures are movie accurate. What you're noticing is the game having trouble displaying everything.
