Trex
OK, I'm working on my last area model for my mod, and I'm doing my first irregular walkmesh. I am following Quanon's tutorial and using the line tool. My question is, how do I join two parts of walkmesh together. In other words, how do I make this... Look like this..? Canderis
Attach the figures together and weld the vertices.
Trex
OK. I see attach and weld. I can't seem to get either of them to work. Is there a precise way you have to use them? Is it relevent that this isn't two seperate objects (it's two ends of the same one)?
Sithspecter
Convert both to polies first, then attach and weld like Canderis mentioned.
Trex
I convert them to poly, but the two points still won't join. As a side problem, I can't seem to see the walkmesh when I don't have the vertex on. Is that normal and/or connected to my other problem?
Canderis
Make sure they are close enough together. Make are they are part of the same object too.
Trex
OK, I still can't manage to use attach, but after searching through many 3dsm tutorials online, I think I've found a way. Using segment, I delete the unnecessary parts that might get in the way, use fuse to join the vertices, then click weld. I think I converted it to editable spline as well, but I don't know if that makes as difference. It seems to work.
Quanon
I think I converted it to editable spline as well, but I don't know if that makes as difference. It seems to work. Just right click and convert back to editable Mesh, before you apply the walkmesh modifier. Else you can expect some funky weird stuff in the game
