Prime Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I've been noticing a reasonable number of bugs creeping up of late (granted I've been on a bit of a hiatus from TOR, but I've started playing again). In particular Kira seems to have all kinds of problems with her lightsaber. First she'll have it lit when you enter a new area, and she won't turn it off. Even unequiping and re-equiping doesn't solve the problem immediately, but if I wait for a while and then equip it goes away. The other issue that I see is that a lot of times when she starts a fight it looks as if she is using her saber but there is no visible blade. Un-equiping and re-equiping regularly seems to be the only way around this. Annoying! Is this a common problem with you folks?
Miltiades Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Yep. There's a lot of weird stuff going on with those lightsabers, it actually became worse when 1.2 arrived. I didn't get that bug before that. To be honest, I don't really notice it that much anymore. But yeah, they should get around to fixing that.
mimartin Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Play as a smuggler, then you don't have to worry about those stupid lightsaber bugs. Nadia Grell has the same problem on the consular, don't care I use Theran Cedrax (the healer). The no weapon bug has been around since beta testing, there are still times now that I've done all of Ilum dailies looking like I'm shooting stuff with my finger. Reloading usually fixes the issue, but I kind of like the look of killing things with my finger. Overall, while some of the bugs are annoying, I haven't found any that are quest breaking. The bugs that I really hated, were during the Belasavis dailies, thankfully bioware finally fixed most of those.
Miltiades Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Same here, but instead it were Ilum dailies that were bugged. And they fixed those as well. I remember the green glow my Bounty Hunter had when he had healed himself being permanent. Took some time to get that fixed.
Prime Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 As a player for who the lightsaber is a central theme of my character (guardian), the lightsaber bug stuff is quite annoying! But I will be patient...
