Eefluxx
So I had no plans to play this game. My wife got it for me for $15 and I figured I better at least try it out. I am having a hard time putting it down at the moment. I am a smuggler (Gorvaick) lvl 20 (Gunslinger) on Taris atm. I have noticed a bunch of people riding around on vehicles that aren't speeder bikes and I was wondering if these were the S.T.A.P.s from the digital downloaded content. It is only $4.99. If it is these would it be worth it to get it so I don't have to run thru everything until I can save up enough for speeder lessons when I reach that level? Also unfortunately I am not on the Harbinger server but the Jedi Covenant one (PVE). I didn't think about coming here first to see where everyone was before I chose a server. This is my first MMO and I must say its not the horror story I thought it would be so far. Anyways thanks in advance. Eefluxx
Miltiades
You will, actually, still have to buy the tier 1 speeder training to use any mount you acquire, whether you bought it in-game or through some kind of special edition. But 40k for tier 1 training (available at level 25 for first time players) really isn't that much, so I wouldn't worry about it. Also, there's plenty of Stap-like speeders in-game, even if you don't have a deluxe edition, so you don't have to buy it for that either.

Eefluxx
I have seen some people flying them before level 25 tho. That is why I was wondering about getting it. Everything else I have looked up on it say you need to be level 25 before you can learn to fly them. My next few toons will probbaly be on the Harbinger when I am done with my smuggler so I can possibly get some help for the flashpoints.

When you get your Legacy started (after Act I), you can spend credits on lowering the level at which you can use speeders (level 10 for tier 1, if I'm not mistaken), which is useful for the next characters you create within the Legacy. It's a character-specific perk, though, so you'll have to buy it for every character (and obviously don't buy the perk with your main). My next few toons will probbaly be on the Harbinger when I am done with my smuggler so I can possibly get some help for the flashpoints. It's worth mentioning, if you didn't know already, that Legacy is bound to the server, meaning that you'll have to unlock your Legacy again if you start a new character on another server and you won't get the perks or legacy experience already unlocked with your first character.
