Revan's Return

Recommended Posts

I know this isn't gonna be easy and massively time consuming (especially waiting on a new K1 disc since apparently I was an idiot and didn't put it back in it's case, resulting in it's loss), but I was just messing around with some reskins and decided to rework the storyline. Obviously I know it's not canon, but just for fun, yeah? :)

My thoughts are this. Revan is going to wake up on the Endar Spire, just as he would if you were playing K1 normally, but he's actually a prisoner of the Republic. A young Sith Soldier runs into the room, finding the confused Sith Lord, (he will have dialogue changing Revan's class to a Force Using class). As you fight across the Endar Spire, you'll be facing Republic Troopers and possibly a Jedi Knight. Upon the end of the Endar Spire, Revan will discover that the Republic Agent Carth Onasi has been killed by a young Chiss Imperial named "Fehlaaur'ar'ktarloo" or "Urark" (who followed Revan and Malak back from Dromund Kaas).

Taris will pan out as normal. With Malak wanting to kill Bastila, who still will play a massive role in the game, but instead of her being a Jedi Padawan, Revan will corrupt her into a Sith Apprentice. Bastila kills Mission as her initiation into the dark side, which sends Zaalbar into a rage, but Revan easily defeats him and forces him to submit to his will.

With Mission's spot cleared up, it allows the entrance of another "Revanite" to join the cause. The Revanite's name, race, gender and class have yet to be decided, but he/she will be discovered at the end of Taris.

:edit:

I was not done, but accidentally hit the submit button -.- so I'll finish this later, I guess. ._. And yet again... I had more typed out but my finger slipped. -.- So I'll be back to finish this after I sleep.

Do you think you'd record or simply omit the voiceovers that would be required to carry this new plot? There are some talented impressionists around here, but changing the story so dramatically would call for a lot of new VOs for existing party members, even including repurposed existing VOs from the game.

I'll get them recorded, even if the voices aren't absolutely perfect match to their original characters. I don't like seeing all this stuff with people having non-recorded voice overs... but at the same time I understand why they don't... but for something this large, the voice overs are a definite must.

This is actually an interesting idea.

I was expecting another KotOR III mod.

Tatooine, Kashyyk and Manaan won't have to be changed too much either for it to work I'd imagine.

How do you plan on rewriting Dantooine?

Also is this mod meant for one to play completely dark side or will they're be options and even a lightside ending of some sort?

Hehe. I'm not much of a KotOR III fan, especially after discovering that K3 would have been the Jedi Knight's storyline from TOR (though I suspect if I could use more than simply saber skills, I might have enjoyed it a bit more).

Nah, but both Korriban and Dantooine will, unfortunately. I haven't exactly got a 100% plan for either planet, though I'm thinking about having Revan slaughter the council (save for Vrook, because I'll leave that for the Exile in K2 :evil2: ).

I haven't quite decided that either yet. Though I suspect I might have a lightside ending by the time I get finished with it. :p And of course, there will be the lightside and darkside options, different ways for quests to pan out, after all... people like to play games different ways.

An interesting concept! I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you :)

I'd just suggest waiting for trailers, launchers, and voiceovers until near the end of your project. You've got tougher stuff to deal with first!

No insult intended. (I hope none was perceived.)

None was taken and yeah, I'm aware. Just answering a few questions that'd been asked. I don't like to leave people in the dark, if at all possible. :thmbup1:

To fill Mission's spot, how about you use the Ghost of Marka Ragnos? Have a quest where you have to bring him a suitably Force Sensitive individual (either male or female, though, male would be preferred and a female would get you DSP) for him to possess. Then he travels with you until near the end of the game when he possess someone else and leaves on his own mission that the player is never told about. The original person he possessed, however, stays on with Revan and can still use the skills and powers that Marka allowed them to use only with reduced stats.

Hmmm. I might consider this, though Marka Ragnos, will be a definite no. I'm not sure I'd have a Sith Lord spirit possess a mortal shell and have it travel with Revan, because their opinions differ. Ragnos believed in many Sith, not the "Rule of Two" which is what Revan believed in (and was apparent by his taking only one apprentice with the Darth moniker). Perhaps though, there will be a... Dark Jedi spirit on Taris, after all... there was at one point a Jedi Academy on the planet and through the death of its students, at least one of them was bound to be driven insane, right? :xp:
