Oh hell! I know this was uploaded years ago and you guys probably already saw it before but damn, THIS is Monkey Island in 3D as it was meant to be!!! :3heart::3heart::3heart:

(This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.)

I'm drooling. :drool2:

Precisely my point! :D I hated it when they turned EMI into 3D but I bet I wouldn't have if it looked like THIS!! :heart3: True there were more limitations in terms of graphics back then in which case they should've stuck to 2D imo :xp:

Yeah this video looks great but even so, the environments outside of the set pieces of Captain Dread's ship and the International House of Mojo are pretty empty. Just proves how effective fixed 2D backdrops (as in the original games) or constrained 3D environments (like in Tales) are - even with the best technology to hand, as in these videos, it's too difficult to fill up an open world with detail.

Escape was the worst of both worlds - fixed 3D backdrops that looked horrible.

Pre-rendered backgrounds that at times caused graphical errors! I remember :p

I figured the place looked empty simply because the maker didn't get to putting more stuff in between - I mean there were only like three locations 3Dified :p

....and interesting fact, my first ever ISP back in 1999 (unless we count bulletin boards on the Amiga 1993-1994 ish) was 'Madasafish'....

I picked up their disk from 'Dixons', back when subscription free, pay as you go Internet was relatively new.

Artisa my dear, your innocence is as charming as it is perennial.

I believe the third line of that note is meant to be read as one word and not two. :max:

I know it is ;) Even my 'innocence' has its boundaries! :giggle1:
