Porcelain!

I can't get MI 1 to run on my Win98SE machine (see next post). The reason I want it to run is that I have played MI 3 and am now doing MI 4 and I want to know why Guybrush hates porcelain! So either an answer to this question, or to the technical one, will help me and my husband and daughter a lot!

The porcelain thing is a good question. No one really knows. As far as I know he first told that he hated porcelain in MI2, but porcelain was also mentioned in the "Fighting with Fester Shinetop inside the mansion scene" in MI1. As for the technical problem, no idea. Sorry.

Guybrush hates porcelain because...

Guybrush Threepwood, Monkey Island 2, Booty Island Governor's Mansion

I hate that knick-knacky jumk

Or, just look at this.

So that's it! He hated porcelain probably because he had to dust it. (Or because he DIDN'T dust it and got his fingers dusty.) I thought it would be something JUICY .... someone threw something at him .... Maybe Elaine when he made his first pass at her? 8-)

I think it's more that he finds it cheap & tacky.
