Rogue15 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 anybody play on this? I'm waiting for my copy of the discs and i'll be on hopefully it works out...i started playing SWG 2 weeks before the CU hit, so i have a very vague memory of it!
Sarlacc Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Yes i am playing on a Emu too. There are a lot of Emus existing. Checkout : swgemu.net for a overview. I can recomment the revelation server. PreCU Mechanic with NGE items and most stable Server out there.
Rogue15 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 i'm on the swgemu basilisk server, i have 2 characters, Kioet Csuhen and Saurat Seerdon.
Carwil Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 So, the playing the emulator requires an actual, physical game client, correct? Can I buy any version of the game; they all work?
Rogue15 Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 yes you can get it off amazon or ebay for between 10 and 30 bucks.
Carwil Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Excellent. I missed out on Galaxies, but I've done a considerable amount of reading on it online in the years since SOE pulled the plug on it, and it sounds like a completely different experience (in a good way) from TOR. I'll have to give it a try.
Rogue15 Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 it is different...look up bloodfin server there are many players on that one..
Carwil Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I'll be sure to do that. I'm actually planning to do some online shopping here in the next two weeks. I'll probably pick up The Dig, Grim Fandango, and certainly a copy Galaxies. Would you recommend any particular version of the game?
Canderis Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I'm hoping I can find my disks again. I played once when it was still live, but I was too young to understand. I have the disks somewhere and I'd love to try this out again sometime.
Carwil Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I may be picking up a Starter Kit online in the next few days. Found some that go for about thirteen bucks online, but it depends on how much the N64 accessories I need to pick up cost. Big question is, I don't suppose there's any way to circumvent the need for a physical game client, is there?
