Balkoth
That depends on what you mean by classic rock. Could you give an example?
Te Darasuum Mandalor
Rock and roll all night, Welcome to the Jungle, Dream on, We will rock you, stuff from late 60's to late 80's or early 90's. What did you think I meant by classic rock, Hanna Montana?
Balkoth
I wasn't sure if you ment the 50's or what I don't know where to start so heres a list in no particular order AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, T-rex, Ted Nugent, Quiet Riot, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Alice Cooper, RATM, CCR, Guns N Roses, Skynard, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, Aerosmith. Just to name a few...
VarsityPuppet
I don't think Rage Against the Machine is classic rock, by the way... as awesome as they are. Classic rock is such an arbitrary term. The way I see it, it's any popular rock band around from 1950-1970-ish. Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Rolling Stones, etc.

Te Darasuum Mandalor
I see classic rock end in about 1988ish.
VarsityPuppet
Like I said, it's a rather arbitrary term. This would classify Motley Crue and Metallica as classic rock. I think generally more of bluesy type of stuff for classic rock. Clapton, Hendrix, CCR.. and it generally has that lo-fi sound quality to it I guess. Te Darasuum Mandalor
Ok, then maybe we should call 1975-1990 pre-modern rock! LOL
VarsityPuppet
I'd say Classic Rock era definitely stops in the late 70's - early 80's
