My girlfriend and I have already beaten Escape From MI, and now we are going back to looking at puzzles in a different light. And this brings me to the SKELETON KEY, THE ROPE, THE GUN and THE RUBBER CHICKEN WITH A PULLEY IN THE MIDDDLE. In the Mysts, I have went back and shot myself with the GUN that I gave to myself. So there is a dead Guybrush laying there on the raft on the other side of the gate from Guybrush-me. Also, The Skeleton Key... There are so many locked doors in this game...I lie awake at night and wonder how I can make it out of the Mists and still keep the skeleton key. And this is how I found out about shooting Guybrush. And if you ask for "item information" Guybrush says about the key "I bet I could unlock any door with this" And the rubber chicken he says "Alone it's just as useless as it ever was" which leads me to believe that you could combine it with something if you could actually get it. And actually in the a cutscene way after you jail pegnose, Guybrush PULLS THE RUBBER CHICKEN OUT!!!! And that means that he possibly CAN LEAVE THE MISTS WITH THE CHICKEN. And the rope, Guybrush says "it's 50 feet long, give or take a few feet." And where the hell does Guybrush get all this stuff in the first place. I hope I'm not being a fool, but I'm fool enough to ask and hunger for more adventure. Am I the only one who think you can unlock Ozzies guest house? brief Posted September 6, 2001 Share Posted September 6, 2001 The rubber chicken with the pulley in the middle and the rope is a reference to the first game, The Secret of Monkey Island, where Guybrush uses these two items to slide across a gorge and get to Meathook's house. The skeleton key is for the gate at the swamp. The gun is for you to shoot future Guybrush and create a space-time anonmaly. As for how Guybrush got these items--You've seen it yourself--he got it from his future self. ------------------ In just two days, tomorrow will be yesterday. ashem Posted December 12, 2001 Share Posted December 12, 2001 I saved the game, shot guybrusg then saved again and something got mixed up and i got out of the mysts of time with the gun. Its funny because when you hold the gun and walk around the island guybrush doesn't walk he just slides cause he's not meant to be able to have the gun. You know, when you get Dead Eye Dave to give you a head, foot, guts, liver, heart, and stomach, put them all together and you can play around with it. What do you do with it?
