Jobe
One thing I noticed in JK/MOTS is that if you disarm an enemy stormtrooper (or any other enemy AI) with force pull they will simply run around like morons shouting out random sayings. In JKII they should at least be able to punch you. If they are not close enough then they should be able to pull out a secondary weapon or a thermal grenade (if they carry such weapons). Your thoughts? [ August 18, 2001: Message edited by: Jobe ]
kya4life
nah if my weapon was pulled from my hand into thin air... i'd be running away too.. but not in the same fasion as in JK/Mots. I'm sure JO's AI will be far more advanced.
GonkH8er
i'd like to see some of them fall to their knees and cower in fear..... or possibly even incorporate skeletal animation for the stormies to dive onto the ground and play dead
Vader's Apprentice
Id like them too yell that they're going to defect to the Alliance and then if you change weapons run away and suicide! That'd be good LAFFS

KillerBee
/me liked the ai in Red Faction.. where they yelled "nnooo dont do it" I think that should be the approach. if I had no gun an a jedi wif a big sabre coming at me, I wouldnt bloomin try to punch them.. I would be gone wif a little trail of yellow
Jedi Howell1587246488
I agree w/ bee. I think I heard something somewhere about the stormies being able to cower or something like that. jh
KillerBee
I think they need to make ai that regroups runs and finds another gun.. maybe from little stormie blaster lockers.. or something or maybe a secondry blaster to
Dante1587246514
personally i hope they know some SW weird kung fu moves and rty to go matrix on ya ass...and beat downs!!
magnus1587246491
I have to agree with Dante on this. Once the enemy is disarmed it would be cool if the game jumped in to ninja mode. Little dressmakers would pop out from behind the corners and make black ninja suits for everyone. Bystanders would get free sushi and little japanese drums. For example, troopers should be able to pick up the weapons of fallen comrades/enemies. Commandos could maybe pull out a backup blaster pistol, or something... Just a thought. StormHammer
I agree that if you pull a weapon out of an enemy's hands, they should at least attempt to find another one - either from a fallen comrade, or from one of the many weapon stores that are usually dotted around levels. I mean, wouldn't it make the game more interesting if you could no longer rely on picking up weapons and other supplies, because your enemies go after them as well? Sort of like what happens in an MP game, but in SP the weapons shouldn't respawn. The same should be true of other supplies, particularly bacta tanks etc. I think injured enemies should run for the nearest bacta tank to heal themselves, under covering fire of their comrades. A group of enemies should be able to conduct an orderly retreat, firing at you as they back up. Enemies that run should not always do so aimlessly (although this would be acceptable on the odd occasion - green recruits who scare easily for example). I think it would be better if they lead you into an ambush, or some kind of trap. For those enemies that do run - I also think they should weave to avoid your blaster fire, and duck in and out of cover, making them slightly harder to hit. As for disarmed enemies attacking by punching you, well, I think that would be unrealistic. Would you go up against a guy weilding a lightsabre with just your fists? I wouldn't. I think all of the enemies should be smart enough not to attempt that either.
Guest Vagabond
Just a quick side-note, but still related to this topic: it would add a nice bit of realism and fun if, rather than weapons and medpacs haphazardly laying on the floor in various areas of the SP (and even MP) maps, they were in logical locations. So when you rip a Storm Tropper's gun out of his hand, if there isn't one laying on the ground from a dead commrade, he'll head to the nearest armory. Or if an enemy is badly hurt, he'll run for the sickbay, etc.
StormHammer
Yeah, Vagabond, my thoughts exactly. I have to admit that I'm getting a bit tired of some of the old-style level design, where you find items in some of the oddest places, and some secrets are just nonsensical. I'd like to see a bit more thought going into the placement of all ammo, weapons, medkits etc. I agree about the armoury and medlab, etc, and there will be instances where you can find secret weapons caches. I thought some of the secret areas in JK's Baron's Hed level were more likely than in some other levels. They made sense, and I'd like to see that trend continue. The only way that I can see items being in odd locations, is if you come across a dead body, or where an enemy has been camping, or maybe a broken-down vehicle or the like. If there were bed-chambers/closets and the like in some rooms, they could also be suitable places for placement of supplies. Mind you, I wouldn't mind seeing a Jedi Healing force power, where you could meditate anywhere in a level, but which would make you vulnerable to attack. This concept has certainly been used in the EU, so it's feasible. But I digress.
Dr_Strangelove
Yeah that would be great what Vagabond said. When you think about it, its stupid if there are guns and stuff just lying on the ground. In Jk at least they were on shelfs most of the time, but still, it would be best if they were in a designated area. Back to the main topic, I want to see a Stormtrooper take off their belts and wip the crap out of me, lol.
Syndrix
Along the lines of Vagabond and StornHammer, I would like to see usable items blend into the environment. Not so much that they are impossible to see but so guns on racks, Bacta tanks in medical bays etc. dont spin around saying "look at me, I'm interactive, pick me up". They should just look normal like the rest of the environment, you will know what things look like after playing for 10 minutes or so. The only things you might overlook are special "mission" items, but isnt that half the fun?
