Wacky_Baccy
You don't need to, but (depending on how far you got) a lot more of waht's said in this forum will make sense if you do... Where in jk1 did you get stuck? W_B
StormHammer
Welcome to the forums, Tidus. Enjoy your stay. Have a Jedi Cookie. Just as a matter of interest, how far did you get with JK? I know I had to play it until I finished it the first time. As wardz said, I'd go back and play JK anyway, just to get a better feel for JK2. Of course, it might also be an idea to play MotS...considering JK2 follows on from that...to give you a bit of background.
nykel007
I don't even have the first one. It seems like I shouldn't be here.

wardz
Ditto that stormy. If you dont play it soon you will probably regret it when JK2 comes out, cos after that there ain't no turning back! JK2 will make JK look like pacman. No offence to pacman but (get ready for Springers final thought)... "Once you have had caviar, you can't go back to fish and chips" And on that note, I'm going to bed. wardz
Tidus
I borrowed it from my friend and he wanted it back. It was a LONG time ago, I forgot where I was at... It's great news that I don't have to beat the first one because this game looks great.
nykel007
Oh, I'm not worried I won't when I'm running home screaming "IT'S MINE, ALL MINE."
Agen
It doesn't really make a difference but to know what jk2 is all aobtu i suggest the 1st one and also i haven't played mots, at the end of jk i was dark and i don'tl iek the idea that he jsut gave up and then became a middle path (?) Did kyle apperntly turn to light (or middle) in MOTS??
Frosty_V2.1
Hi all! When I get a sequel, I always ply the original and then follow on, it just gets u back into that world that sucked up ur life for (whatever time). Anyway the story follows onto MOTS as if he followed the light path, evil always loses or gets cut in sequels/expansions. WTF was with Kyle getting seduced by the dark side simply cos there was power or somthin from the temple. He faced off against Jerec, the guy who murdered his *sob* dearly beloved father and basically told him to shove his Sith ways 'u know where' even though he could have sliced and diced Jerec in a split second, he gets through that fine only to be sucked into...well...the crappiest storyline/ending... ever! Second, Jerec was a Dark Jedi not a Sith and yes there is a difference.
Toa Tahu
What's the difference between a Dark Jedi and a Sith? And,I don't have JK1.
Frosty_V2.1
First off this is mainly off topic... I remember having a debate about the Sith/Dark Jedi with a friend and there is a diff, excuse the mistake, this stuff is also in a previous post somewhere I might find later and tellya Toa Tahu. Anyways there is a guy "Midget", his initials r R.C., if u ever encounter him and think it's him from seeing aka, asking initials or somthin make sure u mention that u don't need the force to use a lightsaber. He drove me and some frenz crazy with his argument that u need the force to use a lightsaber, after a month of showing him proof he was still going, so if u could please make sure that u annoy, mock, snob him and get anyone u know to do the same if u see him online it would be much appreciated. Thanks
Agen
Well in the actual movies u cant use a saber witohut the force because u need jedi reflexes other-wise ur jsut fencing and are liekly to get killed... so u do need force to use a saber but in the game u don't need the force for osme reason.. u can jsut go in and block laser blasts without force but in the game it's possible
Frosty_V2.1
I hear ya bout combat in the movies, u need some ability in the force otherwise "the distinct difficulty in the mass of the blade..." (Hmmm mass?) or something like that in one of the SW Pic Dictionaries I think, and Jedi reflexes. but after making him watch Han Solo slice open that damn Taun Taun about 7 times with Luke's saber in ESB!...damn he is persistent, his argument for that was it was a blow torch he pulled out of his pack to cut the thing open! Funny guy but can't take being wrong... Maybe u don't need the force to activate a lightsaber is what u guys should annoy him with, heh, heh, heh. They probably could have worked in some stuff with Kyle learning more about the force before blocking volley's of blaster fire, but what gets me is that in MOTS Mara sits there and deflects poison darts. unless those plants can produce a natural magnetic shield or somthin. O yea and thanks for the welcome StephenG. [ November 19, 2001: Message edited by: Frosty_Ver2.0 ]
