I was in room #1 with several jkii netters but got disconnected

 

they just said requirements similar to EF

 

saber in either 1st or 3rd person view

 

saber control simple, animations complex and exciting...hmmm

 

saber control based on player movement

 

now a stupid question

will it be like Quake or you will have to think

they answered similar to DF and JK, action, combat, story, puzzle

 

 

Only John Williams or additional music also?

 

mainly williams

I only missed the first two or three questions, one was about mp skins or models I think

my questions were not asked :(

 

I asked if they were under pressure to match the release with ep2 and a few other things

 

I had asked something similar to what you wanted deathbolt, with no positive results as you can see

Well, we got a few new tidbits of info, but nothing even worth mentioning. For those that didn't attend, be glad you didn't.

 

The whole chat was basically a rehash of all the released info on JK2.net, and frankly, I felt insulted.

 

I shouldn't have had high hopes, o well, you live you learn.

Here is a partial transcript. I typed in only those questions I found interesting ;)

 

How many characters will we be able to play in multiplayer mode.

Most of the single player characters will be available as multi-player. We are looking into other options as well.

 

Is Jedi Knight II's 3rd person gonna be similar to Heretic II? Meaning, it's movement, feel, camera options, config, etc.

It will be similar, but the main focus of Jedi Outcast is 1st person, whereas Heretic 2 was 3rd person.

 

What about the soundtrack. I've heard about dynamic soundtracks that change tempo, volume, and intensity to suit the situation. WIll this be used in Jedi Outcast?

We do have dynamic music planned. The soundtrack is able to follow the pace of the game through explorations and actions to respond to what is going on in gameplay.

 

Many at jediknightii.net want to know wether it will be possible to lightsaber duel using first person camera.

 

Yes that is possible. The player will be able to use the lightsaber in either first or 3rd person perspective.

 

The player can always choose to play in 1st or 3rd person views with any of the weapons.

 

The targeting reticle is available in 1st and 3rd person views.

 

 

Is the John Williams soundtrack going to be used entirely, or willl there be additional music composition as in Force Commander?

The game score will be primarily John Williams music. Some additionally composition music may be required for specific situations in the game, but this will also be based on the John Williams music.

 

 

Will there be multiple difficulty levels to choose from and if there are will there be a realistic mode so 1 or 2 hits kill an enemy but also you?

Yes there will be different difficulty levels.

 

Will LucasArts and Raven start getting more active in the community forums like JediKnightii.net allowing for more fan interaction (as they do for Galaxies?)

Yes we have started up the website and FAQ. We also be more active on the message boards over the next few months.

 

Will it have a map editor, or something to modify the game's content? Can we expect to see a modding community anytime soon after the release?

These type of questions will be answered in the coming months through our FAQ.

 

Will there be controllable vehciles or any components thereof(turrets, cannons, etc)?

The player will be able to take over and control in place weapons in different locations.

 

Can you elaborate on the team based multiplayer we can expect to see? Class-based? CTF? Team-based multiplayer is a lot of fun.

We will have the team based and of course the different factions of the Rebels and Imperial Forces. And of course CTF as well.

 

Is the Rifle Scope still added unto the Stormtrooper Rifle as a pickup or does it come with the weapon right away?

Kyle uses it with a different weapon.

 

Will we get to enjoy Jan Orrs' stunning beauty once again?

Jan will be there in all her glory.

 

How will health and shielding be used in Jedi Outcast? will it be set up in the same way as Jedi Knight?

It will be very similar to Jedi Knight.

 

Zone support for Jedi Knight 2?

We're looking into it.

 

Will be able to fly your fighter at any point in the game?

No this is a FPS, not a vehicle action game.

 

There will be no Jar Jar in Jedi Outcast!!!
