Millions o' Monkeys Posted November 10, 2001 Posted November 10, 2001 many of you have probably seen this but maby never realised why im bringing this up. In TPM when qui-gons fighting Maul, Maul pulls of that cheap-ass move on qui-gon. The one where he hits qui-gonb in the chin then shoves the saber through him. I dont believe that that should have been added to the movie, seeing any jedi even a sith would never dare try something as cheap as that. or am i mistaken ?...is (sorry..WAS) darth maul different to the rest
Darth Simpson Posted November 10, 2001 Posted November 10, 2001 It's not cheap, it's combat. In combat, you do anything you can to get the advantage. If I were fighting you, and say, punched you below the belt, I wouldn't stop and say, "I'm sorry, let's start over again". It's all about survival.

OnlyOneCanoli Posted November 11, 2001 Posted November 11, 2001 It was "cheap" that two Jedis were fighting one sith, hehe.
GonkH8er Posted November 11, 2001 Posted November 11, 2001 The thing is, maul can be as dirty as he wants. No-ones watching, except for obi wan who he intends to kill anyway, and the camera which will show it to millions worldwide, but thats not the point. When you've gotta win, you've gotta win.
Bartolo_JCS Posted November 11, 2001 Posted November 11, 2001 You call hitting the nose cheap? I find vaders chucking of random objects pretty far out
access_flux Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 yer it was kinda cheap, but i'd do it.... wait a minute.... does that mean i'm cheap?
SlowbieOne Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 I thought the Qui-Gon death was nothing compared to the cheesiness of the Maul death. I mean, come on George, Maul is supposed to be a powerful SithLord, and he's gonna fall for some crap like that? That's the oldest one in the book! He had a full 2 seconds to evade it, and all he did was watch Obi flip over him. Very un-Jedi-like.
Millions o' Monkeys Posted November 13, 2001 Author Posted November 13, 2001 well yeah but...if you were in his position and some ball of cloth flies over your head, youd be a little confused frightened and probably shocked so it would take you a while to react as well
Darth Simpson Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 Obi-Wan should have chopped him in two while he was jumping up, that's my opinion.
SlowbieOne Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 Quote well yeah but...if you were in his position and some ball of cloth flies over your head, youd be a little confused frightened and probably shocked so it would take you a while to react as well Nope, sorry Million's O Monkeys (funny name) , not if I was a Sith Lord.
Agen Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 Can't you guys understand..... i mean Maul can hardly speak never mind noticing a bit of cloth flying over his head nad when ur dumb u'll take even longer to react -------------------------- Kapeesh?
Darth Simpson Posted November 13, 2001 Posted November 13, 2001 Errr, Maul can't speak...? I distinctly recall him having a few lines in the movie, although not as many as he should have had. This doesn't mean he's dumb though...
GonkH8er Posted November 14, 2001 Posted November 14, 2001 "The inability to speak does not make you unintelligent"
Guest oninosensi Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 How about the counter point to that: "The ability to speak does not make you intellegent."
