3headedmonkey Posted December 27, 2001 Posted December 27, 2001 Hey, this is my first post, and this may be somewhat of a stupid question, but what is the stump joke in the forest? It's mentioned in Monkey II, but I could never figure it out.
Haggis Posted December 27, 2001 Posted December 27, 2001 When you are in the jungle of Mêlée Island™ you will encounter a stump. Try looking at it.
3headedmonkey Posted December 27, 2001 Author Posted December 27, 2001 I already tried that, but it says "Just a regular old stump." Is that the joke? If it was, it wasn't very funny. I'm still confused:toothrot:

Natty Posted December 28, 2001 Posted December 28, 2001 The stump joke comes back in CMI- when Guybrush is in the crypt and he's trying to get out, he climbs through a hole in the ceiling, and he comes out from the stump. Which is cool coz it's complete with the proper graphics and everything Origionally, if you're playing the disk version and not the CD rom version, you're asked to insert a number of disks- which of course you don't have, and because you don't have those disks, you're told you have to skip that part of the game- I can't remember exactly how it goes though
3headedmonkey Posted December 28, 2001 Author Posted December 28, 2001 Ok, thanks for clearing that up.
MurrayDude Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 And in it G.T says Hey look, a system of catacombs! Manny Calavera says same thing in GF (running in-joke reference) RIJR. Yes. I am so clever.
