Rogue15
I never got around to beating it, I remember getting stuck at a Y-Wing level. Is it worth installing it again and trying to beat? What is X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter like? can I choose my craft to fly? Are the missions the same as in x-wing and tie fighter?

JR2000Z
Depends on which Y-Wing mission that your on. I made it up to the middle DOT4 so which is kinda cool because the game is hard as heck to beat.
Rogue15
I made it to the Y-Wing level where you must disable one of those shuttles, there's a few interceptors around too, i remember i got past it by editing some of the enemies out of it...hehe
BasiliskJC
XVT is only good for multiplayer.
Keyan Farlander
By all means, if you have not finished the original X-Wing, go back and do it now - it's the greatest game ever!
Rogue15
I got X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and Balance of Power for $10 (i spent my mall gift certificate on it). So far, it's awesome! I like the ability to choose the role in the mission.
Ham Yoyo
Definately yes. Go back and play X-Wing then play TIE Fighter. Both games are awesome. After you have finished XWA, X-Wing, and TIE Fighter then play XvT. XvT is good but not as good as the other games in the X-Wing series.
Volcano Falcon
At the level whit the Y-wing where you must disable the shuttles, just stay whit them and wait for al the shuttles to pass you. Then shoot them in the back like a real bastard and kill the TIE-Fighters around you. It ain't that hard. And TIE-Fighter vs. X-Wing is a great game. It's something like a flight school academy. XWINGJACK
Well X-Wing vs TIE FIGHTER is a good game. Although its the same like Tie Fighter, the atmosphere is not so got. I missed that you are not in a starship (or something like that) and get orders/debriefings from an officer who intorduces you in the next battle mission. There are nor different rooms you can got to (like the movie room or simulatorroom in TIE FIGHTER,XWING and XWA)..........strange but this is one important (for me ) difference between XVT and the other games. In XVT you can only select in simple menues your mission and play it..............too bad. If i were you i would play XVT WITH !!! Balance of Power..............as i said XVT is a good game but theres something missing......... Balance of power doesnt give you a starship were you can go were you want .......but there a two campaigns (15 missions i think) and i mean its worth to play. ps. Xwing ist still worth to play......but i think only for Star wars fans. )))))
