ChangKhan
There are 8 standard (directional) saber moves per style (for a total of 24), plus 2 special attacks per style, and a good deal of acrobatic moves. There are approximately 300 individual lightsaber animations (if you include all the transitions - each attack can transition smoothly to any other attack) totalling around 3500 frames of animation, just for the lightsaber... SlowbieOne
Wait a second ChangKhan, are you trying to tell me you can make up your own combos with around a selection of 30 different moves? I have always wanted to make up my own combos in games, but it was never included in any game I can think of. So, Raven answers another one of my prayers. Let's see, you can toggle between the three stances (defensive, normal, aggressive), so there is at least one key for that. Add to that 10 total attacks a style, plus a bunch of acrobatic moves. I think we're gonna need bigger keyboards!
Agen
Well 8 per style is good..... very good

In my config, I can do every saber move and acrobatic with my standard setup: 4 movement keys (forward, back, left, right), jump, crouch and the mouse (3 buttons: primary attack, secondary attack, saber style cycle - which you only have to tap once to cycle your saber style)... SlowbieOne
Wow cool thanks ChangKhan:). The setup is what I was hoping for. Would you perhaps be able to enlighten us about how acrobatic moves will be done?
CaptainRAVE
ChangKhan has given us better information than Lucasarts have .........think about all the possibilities with those moves
Jedi Howell
mmmm...just think of what one cd do with a five button mouse... wsad-forward, back, left, right shift-crouch ctrl-activate left-click -- fire wheel-click -- secondary right-click -- jump furthest left-click -- toggle saber on/off(or take out saber) furthest right-click -- toggle stance now im gonna go hv lunch, and day-dream about jk2 jh
CaptainRAVE
I only just noticed ChangKhan[RAVEN] said that there will be a saber style cycle key ....that will be so amazing

Lucky me, I got a five button mouse! Sounds like all this dancing around with the lightsaber will make Max Payne's bullet time dodging look like ballet in comparison. CaptainRAVE
I have five also.....It will so much fun, and so much easier with five mouse buttons..........Do we know how force speed works yet>>Is it like a bullet time where it slows everything else down around you?? Proto
Yeah, it would be pretty cool to watch these epic acrobatic duels in slow motion. Max Payne would really suck in comparison.
DigitalVapor
Saber control will be tied to a combination of mouse movement and direction keys Has anyone else realized this sounds very much like the GLYPH system that was supposed to be in the PC version of Obi Wan? With that said, you must think of the "Styles" like that of a real life sword fight. There are different styles of fighting, different techniques. In JKII there are 8 different moves for each fighting style plus 2 special moves per style. and from what I have read there are 3 styles, making it a total of 30 moves. CaptainRAVE
Yes, but with the GLYPH system wherever you moved the mouse the lightsaber would move aswell....I dont think its quite as free as that, but the movement will be pretty close to what the GLYPH system was supposed to be like. CaptainRAVE
Isnt there a console command to put it into slow motion anyway...that would be just as effective, well nearly anyway

StarScrap
You couldn't really make everything slow down around you in MP. So I think force speed will just be like it was in JK. Hmmm....sounds like I'm going to need to make crouch more readily accessable.
